Born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II on January 22, 1990, Logic had unfortunate experiences as a child. He grew up witnessing his brothers selling drugs to his father and his alcoholic mother and sisters getting beaten up by men. Logic himself was expelled from his school, Gaithersburg High School, after he began skipping classes.

His interest in hip-hop and music itself started after he listened to the score in Quentin Tarantino’s "Kill Bill" at the age of 14. During this time, he also met Solomon Taylor, who soon became his mentor and encouraged him to write lyrics on instrumental beats. Logic started performing onstage in 2009 under the name Psychological, as well as released his first unofficial mixtape "Psychological - Logic: The Mixtape". After serving as the opening acts for rappers such as Pitbull and Ludacris, he shortened his stage name to Logic.

Logic debuted his first official mixtape "Young, Broke & Infamous" in 2010. The mixtape received positive responses from music critics. The success of the mixtape prompted him to sign a deal with independent label Visionary Music Group.

In the following year, the rapper released his second mixtape "Young Sinatra", which served as the first installment of his "Young Sinatra" chronology. The second installment, "Young Sinatra: Undeniable", was released in 2012, while "Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever" was released in 2013. In support of the third installment, Logic embarked on a two-month-long national tour.

After signing a deal with Def Jam Recording, Logic released his first studio album "Under Pressure" in October 2014. Ahead of the release, he premiered lead track "Driving Ms. Daisy" featuring Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover. The second single, "Buried Alive", was unveiled just days before the album’s release. "Under Pressure" peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200 chart. Logic made his television debut in the same year, performing "I’m Gone" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".

Becoming one of the famous hip-hop musicians, it was no surprise that his personal life was brought into limelight. In October 2015, he married his girlfriend of two years, Jessica Andrea, after teasing his second album "The Incredible True Story". The album made its way out on November 13 and debuted at No. 3 on Billboard 200 chart. In support of the album, he embarked on a world tour called "The Incredible World Tour". He later joined forces with G-Eazy to headline "The Endless Summer Tour". YG and Yo Gotti were the supporting acts that time.

Logic had his first Billboard Hot 100 charting single after releasing "Flexicution", which was included on his 2016 mixtape "Bobby Tarantino". Shortly after that, he announced that he was working on his third studio album, announcing that the title would be "AfricAryaN". It was later changed to "Everybody" and was released on May 5, 2017.

The album debuted atop Billboard 200 chart with 247,000 units. Its lead single, "1-800-273-8255" featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid, was certified platinum. 2017 was a good year for the rapper, as he won Best Fight Against the System at MTV Video Music Awards as well as Most Performed R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. Logic also made a cameo appearance on Adult Swim's hit series "Rick and Morty", voicing himself.

Welcoming 2018, Logic released two new singles "44 More" and "Overnight". It was later revealed that the songs would be included on his next mixtape "Bobby Tarantino II". The third single off the project, "Everyday" featuring Marshmello, was released on March 3. The mixtape debuted atop Billboard 200 chart, becoming his second No. 1 album.

His music aside, Logic announced that he and Jessica had separated after two years of marriage. The reason for their split was unknown, but they remain friends following the breakup.
