Donald Trump Body Shamed Kim, Wanted to Boycott Kanye Years Before He Meets Rapper

After Trump said that he and Kanye West were friends 'for a long time,' some news outlets pointed out that the President-elect had bashed the rapper and his wife several times in the past.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump might say that he and Kanye West "have been friends for a long time" when the two men met on Tuesday, December 13. However, his past interviews show that the President-elect wasn't even a fan of the rapper a few years ago.

As pointed out by multiple news outlets, Trump once publicly slammed West after that Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. During the ceremony, the Chicago spitter famously interrupted the then-country songbird's acceptance speech for Best Female Video and said that Beyonce Knowles should've won the award.

Responding to 'Ye's antic in an interview with TMZ, Trump branded the rapper's behavior "dusgusting" and called on a boycott on him "so this kind of things doesn't happen again." The real-estate mogul also said that West actually "couldn't care less about Beyonce" not winning the award. "It was grandstanding to get attention," he added.

Trump had also attacked West's wife Kim Kardashian so many times before the two men's meeting this week. The 70-year-old businessman body-shamed the reality TV star back in 2013, when she and West were still dating.

"Does she have a good body? No... Does she have a fat a**? Absolutely," Trump said in a chat with Howard Stern on the latter's SiriusXM radio show. "And if it weren't Kim, they'd say, 'Wow, I don't want to go out with her.' "

He also criticized Kardashian as he commented on her first pregnancy in another interview later that year. "She's a nice person. I've known her over the years. She's a really nice person," he said. "She's gotten a little bit large. I would say this, I don't think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds."

West revealed that he's a Trump supporter during a concert following the presidential election last month. He got to meet the soon-to-be POTUS on Tuesday when he stopped by the Trump tower in Manhattan, New York.

He later took to Twitter to talk about the meeting. "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues," the "Famous" hitmaker wrote. "These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."
