AceShowbiz - Director Taika Waititi gave fans a tour of the Australian set to celebrate the last day of filming "Thor: Ragnarok" on Thursday, October 27, while actor Chris Hemsworth shared a photo to support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe on the same day. The image offered the first look at Thor's new costume.
Shared on his Instagram account, the image showed the 32-year-old actor dressing in the God of Thunder's full costume, with his long blonde hair tied back. The costume, however, looked much simpler than his wardrobe from the previous movies. It ditched much of the clunky metal plating, gauntlets and red cape.
Written by Stephany Folsom, "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on November 3, 2017. It also sees the return of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Added to the cast are Cate Blanchett as Hela, Karl Urban as Skurge and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, while Mark Ruffalo will reprise his Marvel role as Bruce Banner/Hulk.
Official synopsis hasn't been released, but Waititi recently promised the follow-up to "Thor: The Dark World" would be the most "out there" Marvel film ever. "I think ['Thor: Ragnarok'] will be one of the most adventurous and most 'out there' of all the Marvel movies," the helmer said. "It's a crazy movie."
