The Valkyrie depicter says she has heard that talks have begun about a fourth Thor movie, with 'Ragnarok' director Waititi possibly back on the director's chair.

AceShowbiz - "Avengers: Endgame" may not be the last time fans see Thor in action. While the fate of the God of Thunder and other superheroes would depend on the outcome of "Endgame", Tessa Thompson has hinted at the possibility of a fourth Thor movie.

Thompson, who made her debut as Valkyrie in "Thor: Ragnarok" and will reprise the role in "Endgame", revealed in a recent interview with LA Times that she has heard talks have begun about "Thor 4", with Taika Waititi possibly returning as director.

"I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film]. I don't know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened," she teased the possible "Ragnarok" sequel. "I think the idea is Taika would come back."

Both Chris Hemsworth and Waititi never ruled out a possibility of returning for another Thor movie. "Yeah, people ask me, 'Would you do another one,' and for sure I'd do another one because it wouldn't even feel like doing a fourth Thor film, it would just feel like doing the second 'Ragnarok' film," Waititi said in a 2017 interview.

Speaking of a fresh breath of air that he brought into the franchise with the third installment, Waititi explained, "There's been this reinvention in an exciting way ... So it's exciting cuz it feels like, if Chris were to do this again it wouldn't feel like 'oh it's the eighth time I've done Thor,' no it will feel like the second or third time I've done this character. Same with Mark [Ruffalo]."

Hemsworth, meanwhile, said in 2018 about the possibility of working with Waititi again, "We gave cheers to 'Thor 3'. But it also was like what could we do with four? We could do this and this. We were throwing ideas around. But also, just to work together again. That was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships I've ever had."

"It just depends on how The Avengers (movies) all wrap up," the Aussie hunk added. "I finished shooting and now they are going to edit it and see how the stories play out. There are so many interwoven scenes and stories and characters."

Thor and other original Avengers will be back in "Avengers: Endgame" for one last showdown with Thanos. The movie is set for an April 26 debut worldwide.
