David Ayer Reveals Zack Snyder Directed One Scene in 'Suicide Squad'
Movie

The helmer said that Snyder sat behind the lens for the scene where Ezra Miller's The Flash appears in a flashback sequence alongside Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang.

AceShowbiz - Director David Ayer revealed that aside from being the executive producer of "Suicide Squad", Zack Snyder got involved in helming one scene in the film. In a recent interview with Steve Weintraub of Collider, Ayer said that the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" helmer also sat behind the lens for the scene in which Ezra Miller's The Flash makes a cameo appearance in the DC antihero film.

[SPOILER ALERT!] The Flash appears in a flashback sequence where he stops a bank robbery thwarted by Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang. Ayer said that the scene was always in the movie, but filmed in London. He explained, "Flash was always in the movie, we just got lucky because 'Justice League' was happening and they had the uniform, they had the assets, so we were able to get that photography."

Snyder is currently still filming "Justice League", which is set to be released on November 17, 2017 in U.S. theaters. Starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Miller and Ray Fisher as the titular heroes, the flick centers on Bruce Wayne who enlists the help of his new-found ally, Diana Prince, to face the enemy.

In an interview with another site, actor Jared Leto recently revealed that in preparing to play the role of iconic DC villain Joker, he was inspired by glam-rock icon David Bowie. Speaking to NME, he said, "I spoke to a writer and we discussed David Bowie a bit, not necessarily the music of David, but his class, his elegance, his timelessness."

The frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars also pointed out that it's likely impossible not to draw inspiration from Bowie. "I don't wanna say who the guy was, but he's a famous writer in the world of DC [Comics]. Bowie was definitely one of the people we spoke about," he explained. "I think David Bowie is probably an inspiration for almost anything you could do creatively."
