'Little Fockers' Locks a Summer 2010 Date

Universal Pictures has added this 'Meet the Fockers' sequel into their summer 2010 slate, setting it to hit U.S. theaters in July.

AceShowbiz - Universal Pictures is certainly moving full steam ahead with its third installment of the "Meet the Parents" trilogy project with the setting of a release date. Bringing the news to the attention was Coming Soon which reveals that the studio has placed "Little Fockers" among its summer 2010 line-up.

The movie which will see Ben Stiller returning as Greg Focker is now set to be debuted in theaters across the U.S. on July 30, 2010. On the particular date, the sequel to 2004 comedy "Meet the Fockers" will come out along with Vanessa Hudgens' romantic drama "Beastly", Warner Bros. comedy "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore" and Rachel McAdams' comedy "Morning Glory".

"Little Fockers" will revolve around the children of Greg Focker and Pam Byrnes. Teri Polo, Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson will reprise their roles in this comedy movie wherein De Niro and Jane Rosenthal are serving as producers. "College Road Trip" star Raven-Symone is rumored to be linked to the part of Fockers' babysitter, Tamyra. Director Paul Weitz replaces series helmer Jay Roach.

On another release date news, Universal has also set its adventure comedy "Your Highness" to open in U.S. theaters October 1, 2010. The movie starring Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel joins "Alpha and Omega" and "The Roommate" on the date.
