Julianne Moore Loses Jewelry During House Construction

During the house construction, over 10 pieces of Julianne Moore's Cartier baubles valued at $127,000 disappeared. The jewelries were suspected vanishing between June 6 until August 28, said police on Wednesday, October 3. Since they have no strong suspects yet, no arrests have been made so far.

Back then, contractors were renovating Julie's Brownstone house. Based on some reports, the "Being Flynn" artist was filming a remake of "Carrie" in Toronto, and attending a matrimony of musician Rufus Wainwright with German arts administrator Jorn Weisbrodt in Montauk, New York.

Previously-nominated acts like Chic, Heart, Donna Summer, Kraftwerk, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Randy Newman, Paul Butterfield Blues Band and The Meters are joined by first-time nominees such as Rush, Deep Purple, N.W.A, Public Enemy, Albert King, The Marvelettes and Procol Harum.

During the Wednesday, October 3 Presidential Debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, 20th Century Fox decided to use the event to promote its Presidential-themed film "Lincoln". The studio debuted a brand new trailer for the Abraham Lincoln movie which gives a longer look at plenty goosebumping scenes that take audience back to the Civil War era.

Being opened with images of various charismatic figure from Martin Luther King Jr. to Mahatma Gandhi, the trailer exposes new scenes that explore deeper to Abe's life in the office. At many points, he is seen bursting out his emotion when struggling to pass the 13th Amendment. "We've shown that people can endure awful sacrifice and yet cohere. Shall we stop this bleeding?" so Daniel Day-Lewis narrates with his high-pitched voice as the titular President.

Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie" is about to hit the U.S. theaters very soon, but before that, the director took some time to discuss the inspiration of his latest creation. Being known as a filmmaker who made various eccentric flicks, Burton opens up to Chicago Tribune that his new stop-motion movie, which has generated relatively positive reviews from critics so far, is actually inspired by his own story with his dog when he was a young boy.

"I had this strong connection with a mutt we had named Pepe," Burton recalls, "and it was a good connection." He says, "Like your first love. It was very powerful. The dog was not meant to live very long because of a disease he had, but he ended up living quite a long time. So you have this strong connection, and then you think: 'Well, how long is this going to last?' You don't really understand those concepts of death at the time."

The Merle Dixon of "The Walking Dead" admits that he'd like to play Raccoon in the highly-anticipated superhero movie.

"I love raccoons. Raccoons are my friends (Laughs)!" Rooker tells MovieWeb. Asked if he thinks he is perfect for the role, the Alabama native confidently responds, "Oh, yeah. Most certainly. I know that [director] James Gunn is doing it. He is directing it, and he is re-writing it. He is a very loyal director. He really appreciates the efforts that each actor puts into these roles."

Mumford and Sons Score Biggest Debut of the Year, Beat Green Day and No Doubt

Mumford & Sons have a big debut on Billboard 200. Their second album "Babel" easily tops the chart as it sells 600,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The number marks the biggest debut this year, surpassing Justin Bieber's "Believe" which sold 374,000 copies in its first week.

420,000 of the albums sold were from digital downloads. It's the second-biggest digital sales week ever, placing behind Lady GaGa's "Born This Way" which sold 662,000 downloads in 2011.

Emma Stone and Nicolas Cage are transformed into animated cavemen in the first trailer for "The Croods". In it, Stone voices Eep, the rebellious daughter of Cage's overprotective father character Grug. Along with the other members of the family, Eep and Grug discover a new world after they become homeless. Plenty of vividly-colored creatures and landscapes are displayed in the video, which highlights adventurous scenes of the prehistoric family.

In the film, Grug stands against a forward-thinking outsider Guy [voiced by Ryan Reynolds], who apparently hasn't appeared in this first trailer. Grug cautiously leads his family beyond his comfort zone after an earthquake destroys their cave. While attempting to navigate the dangerous and unfamiliar world, Grug butts heads with the outsider, who charms Grug's clan - especially his eldest daughter - with his modern-minded ways.

Lil Scrappy Released From Jail and Back on Probation

Rapper Lil Scrappy has been freed from jail, two days after his arrest for violating his probation. The "No Problem" crooner is back on probation on Wednesday, October 3 morning, his attorney, Mawuli Mel Davis, confirmed to TMZ.

Scrappy failed to check in with his probation officer last month and got arrested on Monday in Atlanta. The probation, which stemmed from his 2008 case of weed possession, also required him to inform the officer if he changes his address. Scrappy failed to do this as well but said that it was an honest mistake because "he had been on non-reporting status for 1.5 years and didn't know a check-in date had been scheduled. "

Mike Tyson's Denied Visa Over 1992 Rape Conviction

Mike Tyson may not get a visa to enter New Zealand and Australia to conduct his speaking tour because of his 1992 rape conviction. NZ's Prime Minister John Key has spoken out against his visit to the country and the Life Education Trust charity has withdrawn its support of the event.

"Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth" is scheduled to stop by Down Under in November. Australia has the policy of blocking anyone with criminal record from getting visas, but Tyson's application is actually still being considered. Tyson's crime was raping an 18-year-old woman in a hotel room and he served three years in prison for it.

Darius Rucker Teared Up Upon Invited to Grand Ole Opry

Darius Rucker received a nice surprise on Tuesday, October 2 when Brad Paisley told him that he has been invited to become the latest member of Grand Ole Opry. Rucker, who founded Hootie and the Blowfish in 1986, would be the first African-American to join the Opry since Charley Pride became a member in 1993.

Rucker was performing at the usual Tuesday night Opry show. He allowed audience to ask him some questions, two of them coming from a man with white hat, who turned out to be Paisley. "One, are you still the worst poker player in the world?" Paisley teased Rucker, continuing "And two. Would you like to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry?"
