Obscure Plan B Scores Double Novellos Delight

Everything Everything, who are based in Manchester, north England, formed in 2007 and released their debut album less than a year ago. It barely scraped into the top 20 on the U.K. album chart, and their most successful track reached a lowly 121 in the singles rundown in August last year.

The four-piece band has now received critical acclaim and a place on the shortlist for two Ivor Novello honours - for best album and best song, for "Man Alive" and "My Kz", "Ur Bf", respectively.

Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs Urges Movie Bosses to Hire Him

Sean P. Diddy Combs has dabbled with acting in recent years, appearing in "Get Him to the Greek" with Russell Brand and most recently making a cameo appearance in rebooted TV show "Hawaii Five-0".
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is adamant he wants to expand his acting resume - and he is calling on film chiefs to give him a job.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Attention all film directors, casting agents, producers, writers! I am an aspiring actor for hire! Pls (please) call me if you have a job 4 me! 4real... (sic) I take direction well. I'm always on time. I don't come with a (sic) entourage! And I know how to play my position! No ego! I wanna work! Ricky Wilson Vows to Complete Marathon

The British singer, Ricky Wilson suffered a blackout just over two miles (three kilometres) from the finish line and was forced to pull out after he was treated by paramedics.

Ricky Wilson has now spoken of his disappointment after failing to complete the 26.4 mile (42.2 kilometre) trek and has promised to hit the streets later this week to finish where he left off.

Kara DioGuardi has now revealed she spent her last season on the show undergoing rounds of painful fertility treatments as she struggled to conceive with her husband Mike McCuddy. Three rounds of treatment failed and she became convinced the stress of the show was hindering her attempts to start a family.

She writes in her new autobiography, A Helluva High Note, "I wanted a child and there was no way I could get pregnant under the stress of eighteen-hour work days and live TV. I had undergone three unsuccessful rounds of IVF (in vitro fertilisation) during Season 9."

Sarrazan, real name Jacques Michel Andre Sarrazin, was best known for playing a director in the Sydney Pollack drama opposite Fonda, who portrayed a suicidal woman who heads to Hollywood. He also notably starred in Journey to Shiloh opposite Harrison Ford, "The Flim-Flam Man", "Sometimes A Great Notion" and "The Gumball Rally".

Hoover Pulls Ads After 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' Cancellation

There's one company who disagrees with the cancellation of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live". Vacuum maker Hoover is not only disappointed with ABC's decision to end the long-running soaps but posted a furious message on Facebook and pulled their ads from the network as a sign of protest.

The company's marketing VP Brian Kirkendall wrote, "I want you to know from me personally that we hear you loud and clear. My wife and mother are both passionate viewers of 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live', as are many of my colleagues here at Hoover. We were and are as disappointed with this news as you are."

Pregnant Emily Deschanel May Curtail 'Bones' Season 7

Fox has not officially renewed "Bones". But assuming there is season 7, people have been wondering how Emily Deschanel's pregnancy will be accommodated on the show since the Temperance Brennan depicter is due to deliver in late summer/early fall. Suggesting a solution to the matter, executive producer Hart Hanson said in a conference call this Monday, April 18, "Season 7 would probably be a curtailed season in some respects; we don't know how much yet."

Hanson, however, noted that there are still "a lot of decisions to make" about the upcoming season. He said, "Do we do shows without Emily, do we simply shut down when Emily is not available and just do 16 or 18 episodes or do we do a few episodes without her," all of the them are possible.

Official: Simon Cowell Out of 'The X Factor' U.K.

It is now official that Simon Cowell is not going to sit as a weekly judge on the U.K. version of "The X Factor" when it returns for an eighth series later this year. The reason is none other than his commitment to the new U.S. version which is due to premiere in September, roughly a month after the U.K. version's.

New TV spot for "X-Men: First Class" has landed online. Though it mostly features scenes seen in the trailers, the new preview video still manages to give away some never-before-seen footage which shows Banshee using his power.

Beside the TV spot, more sneak peeks to the film have been provided in form of new stills. One photo exposes Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique, while the other shows James McAvoy's Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender's Magneto in action. Both pictures unveil X-Men uniforms in full while previous photos only exposed the top part.

Five Minutes of Alien Invasion Series 'Falling Skies' Shared

TNT has unleashed another sneak peek to "Falling Skies" which comes from Steven Spielberg who serves as a producer. The five-minute clip opens with shots of various drawings and children sharing their own stories about an alien invasion. Later it focuses on a young boy who talks to Moon Bloodgood. The scene then switches to follow Noah Wyle and another man running through a dark street while the aliens are patrolling the area.

"Falling Skies" follows a group of soldiers and civilians who struggle against an occupying alien force. Wyle plays Tom, a college professor and father of two who leads the group, while Bloodgood is Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. Seychelle Gabriel and Will Patton join the cast as an orphaned teenager helping running the community and a fierce leader of the resistance respectively.

Bad news for fans of "Stargate Universe". At the Creation Entertainment's Official Stargate Convention held in Vancouver this week, "Stargate" scribe Brad Wright announced that the movie plan is effectively dead. "We just recently found out that the SGU movie is not going to happen," he delivered the news.

Wright said time factored in in the cancellation. "It took too long. We just couldn't get it together in time, and the window has closed," he explained. And for Wright himself, it was a disappointment. He said, "It's actually sad for me, because after 17 years, I'm cleaning out my desk tomorrow morning."

NBC's Rep Denies Cutting Royal Wedding Coverage

NBC said it's false when one claimed that the network is planning to cut back the number of Royal Wedding coverage because Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton are simply too boring. The real plan was to air a few segments in the wake of the April 29 wedding including a documentary of the couple's childhood, but an NBC source said, "The US public's interest was not what they thought. Kate and Prince William are both really boring."

Some sources then told NY Post that they cut half of the pre-taped footage in fear that "it's not going to rate well". It was said that "Dateline" preferred to air a two-hour "instant documentary" on the wedding day which is comprised of footage from the ceremony.

Nick Cassavetes Ditches 'Gotti' for Indie Film

Although he was present during the movie's press conference in New York last week and weighed in on the directorial view, Nick Cassavetes is not going to direct "Gotti: Three Generations". It was the case of a scheduling conflict that forces Cassavetes to pull out of the project. He was already committed to indie drama "Yellow" and was released from his "Gotti" contract on Monday, April 18.

As a result, the producers are opening a vacancy for a new director to step in and be ready for a production in fall. The movie will be shot entirely in New York in October for 2012 release. Executive producer Marc Fiore said he would self-finance the movie although he declined to reveal the budget.

British pop star Tom Fletcher is to become the first member of McFly to walk down the aisle after proposing to his longterm girlfriend. The British pop star has been dating Giovanna Falcone for seven years.

Fletcher popped the question on Monday, April 18 and rushed to Twitter.com to announce the happy news. He writes, "Ok, so you'd find out from someone else sooner or later so I thought I'd be the first one to tell you... I proposed to @giovannafalcone earlier tonight... and she said YES! We are now officially engaged!"

The first taste of David Cook's upcoming studio album has been officially released. Titled "The Last Goodbye", it was debuted hours after it leaked. The pop/rock track offers an upbeat-sounding take with lyrics, "If you hear this on the radio, then we've already said our last goodbye."

Co-written by Cook with the help from OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, the song is listed among new materials in "This Loud Morning" CD. The track comes from production hands of Matt Serletic, and will be showcased for the very first time on "American Idol" result show on Thursday, April 21.

Actor Taylor Kitsch was forced to undergo counseling after filming new movie "The Bang Bang Club" because he nearly killed himself trying to play a skinny photojournalist. In the movie, the "Friday Night Lights" star portrays a brave photojournalist who captures the violence that erupted during the Apartheid period in South Africa.

However, in order to take on the role, Kitsch turned to unhealthy weight-loss practices, dropping 35 pounds in just two months, which resulted in kidney problems. He says, "It wasn't smart. I tried to run at least 10 miles a day on fruit and coffee. Just barely any protein - I was ripped at the time, so I had to lose all the muscle."

The Beach Boys Record Japan Charity Single

Founding member Al Jardine approached the rest of The Beach Boys - Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston - to record the track "Don't Fight the Sea", which originally appeared on Jardine's 2010 solo album "A Postcard From California".
He tells Undercover.fm, "We felt that the song had a nice basic message of friendship. I also like the idea of that song, because the vocals are a bit under-appreciated. So this release was a perfect place to showcase the idea of harmony and friendship. Everybody is behind it 100 per cent, that's the nice part."

The first thousand copies of the single bought on Tuesday will be pressed on white vinyl with a red label - to symbolise the Japanese flag. And 90 of them will be signed by the bandmembers.
