2011 Oscars Ceremony Sets a Date

March 26, 2010 04:05:11 GMT

The Academy has chosen a date to hold the most prestigious event to honor those in movies. On Thursday, March 25, Academy President Tom Sherak has announced that the 83rd annual Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011. The ceremony will once again take place at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood and aired live by the ABC Television Network.

Next year's Oscars will return to its old slot, the last Sunday in February, which has been occupied by the event since 2004. Journalist: James Cameron Is Making 'a Smurf-Murdering Movie'

March 26, 2010 03:53:19 GMT

A U.S. journalist has refused to apologize to James Cameron for calling him the "anti-Christ" - just days after the moviemaker labeled the reporter "dangerous" and "poisonous". The Oscar-winning filmmaker was left fuming when Fox News correspondent Glenn Beck insulted him on American TV, and told viewers "only pure evil could have directed the movie 'Titanic'."

Cameron fired back at Glenn, saying, "Glenn Beck is a f**king a**hole. I've met him. He called me the anti-Christ and not about 'Avatar'. You know what, he may or may not be an a**hole, but he certainly is dangerous, and I'd love to have a dialog with him. He's dangerous because his ideas are poisonous."

The second one is rather lacking in new footage since it's a mash up of several scenes which have been previewed before, but it does give more in the Will-Emma part.

Donny Osmond Shooting Down Lady GaGa and Beyonce Knowles

March 26, 2010 03:36:32 GMT

Donny Osmond is not a fan of "Telephone" music video which features two big stars Lady GaGa and Beyonce Knowles. Instead, he is "upset as a parent" because the clip encourages "profanity, sexual exploitation, nudity, and graphic violence."

"I'm all for freedom of speech and against any form of censorship, but all I know is that I'm a parent and I'm upset about this," he said on his "Donny Osmond Show" on radio recently. "Unlike 20 years ago, in today's modern, viral world in which content becomes instantaneously available irrespective of age, I wonder whether the music industry might need to rethink its marketing policies with regard to making an explicit music video containing profanity, sexual exploitation, nudity, and graphic violence available to anyone with Internet access."
