A representative for Anderson confirmed the good news to E! although missed out on detailing the due date. This would be the second pregnancy for Anderson with businessman boyfriend Mark Griffiths. The couple have had one son named Oscar who was born on November 1, 2006. In addition, Anderson has a 13-year-old daughter named Piper from her first marriage to Clyde Klotz, "The X-File"s series assistant art director.

If musicians have done their part in Live Earth concert to fight against global warming, actors and TV personalities have their own way to encourage government to take action. Jude Law, Gillian Anderson and comedians Stephen Fry and Bill Oddie have recorded a video to be posted online.
Their campaign is part of The Big Ask march that does its work by encouraging others through online adverts. The celebrities posted a video message online asking their MPs to impose on climate change laws. It is hoped that the famous fiigures will influence others to do their own footage and support the campaign.

Smoothly launching back her acting career back on the track with "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story" and "The Last King of Scotland", Gillian Anderson has reportedly given her commitment to star in a gut-wrenching drama entitled simply "Helen."
Marking the first English-language feature from German writer/director Sandra Nettelbeck, the picture will find the Chicago-born actress as a talented professor forced to come to terms with her clinical depression. Filming is slated to begin September this year in the U.S. under Berlin-based Egoli Tossell banner in collaboration with Echo Lake Productions supported by German regional subsidy Filmstiftung NRW.

Gillian Anderson, an American Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning actress best known for her role as FBI Agent Dana Scully in the American TV series "The X-File", has given birth to a baby boy November 1st in London.
The actress' publicist, Connie Freiberg, confirmed the report to People. The baby, named Oscar Griffiths, was born three weeks early, but "both he and Gillian are just fine," Freiberg added.

The modest marriage ceremony held in December 29, 2004 was taken place at a friend's beach house on Lamu's Shella island, off Kenya's Indian Ocean coast, People magazine reported.
Attended in the ceremony, which included hymns sung by a Kenyan choir in Swahili, was both couple relatives and some of their close friends.
