Darren's second album entitled "The Tension and the Spark" appeared on September 13, 2004, under Sony Music Records with hit single "Popular." This single amazingly reached top position on U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play Chart in February 2005 after it became a hot shot debut in the previous month, positioned at number 43. In an attempt to promote " The Tension and the Spark," Darren went around the world with his Dark Light Tour which was held in November 2004 until early 2005, beginning in Europe, UK, Nordic, Australia and ended in Asia. In January 2005, he participated in New York's World Vision Tsunami Benefit Concert alongside Ben Lee, Second Dan, and Jennifer Hawkins. He also appeared in Australia on March 5, performing at Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras Party.

Keeping his work at constant rate, Darren came back in 2007 with an album titled "This Delicate Thing We've Made" that marks his first release under his independent label Powdered Sugar. For ...
