AceShowbiz - Billie Eilish doesn't shy away from talking about politics at her concert. With the U.S. presidential election just around the corner, the Grammy Award-winning artist has reminded her fans at her latest show the significance of their voice.
On Sunday, November 3, the 22-year-old took the stage at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta as part of her "Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour". During the second night of the Atlanta show, she stopped mid-concert to urge the audience to vote for Kamala Harris.
"Times are really scary and a lot is at stake," she said in a video that was originally posted on TikTok. She went on imploring, "...and I know that if you're in this room and you support me, you support women and I hope that you will vote for Kamala Harris."
Eilish's message was met with loud cheers from the crowd, echoing the star's endorsement for the Democratic presidential candidate. Someone who uploaded the video added a blue heart emoji over the footage.
Eilish previously teamed up with her brother and collaborator FINNEAS to endorse Harris. Back in September, on National Voter Registration Day, the duo appeared in a video to urge their followers to register, vote early and support the Harris-Walz ticket. They emphasized the importance of protecting reproductive rights, the environment, and democracy.
"We can't let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future," FINNEAS said. He added, "The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris."
Eilish echoed her brother's sentiments, stating, "We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy."
While Eilish has asked her fans to vote for Harris, other pop stars like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have taken to social media to reveal that they have voted early for the Vice President.
