Miley gets emotional when she announces her donation during her visit to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus announced a generous donation to help Houston community as thousands of people were forced to leave their homes and more than 30 people were killed because of Hurricane Harvey. During her visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", she pledged a $500,000 donation to the city's relief efforts.

"It'll make me cry. So, I can't really - I can't really talk about it," she said. "I don't know why it makes me so upset. It just really makes me just really upset. So I really hope people know...my grandma's sitting here and my mom's here and I go home to my seven dogs and if I didn't have that anymore, it'd just be really hard."

A teary-eyed Miley told Ellen DeGeneres, "So I'm really happy to help any way that I can and I hope people understand they can put themselves in those people's shoes and just know what it feels like to have everything taken away from you."

Ellen herself donated $50,000 of her own money to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The host also presented a $1M check from Walmart to J.J. Watt's crowdfunding initiative. "What you're doing is incredible. We want to help," Ellen told Watts via FaceTime. "Walmart is on track to donate over $20 million in cash and supplies to Hurricane Harvey relief. But, that is not all. Walmart is also donating $1 million to J.J.'s relief effort right now."

Miley and Ellen join other donors like Sandra Bullock, Chris Brown, Drake, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, T.I., Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Chris Young, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.

Celebrities reached out to Houston after Kevin Hart took it to social media to call on his fellow stars to make donations. "Today I call out ... simply anybody right now who's in a powerful position," he said. "I think we've participated in a lot of challenges on the Internet, some meaningful, some meaningless, but we've all done them. I've been a person that's partaken in several of them. At this point, this is a serious matter. I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I'm going to lead the charge and step up in this way."
