Tristan McIntosh gets a golden ticket and reunites with her mom, who was serving in the military overseas, in the second night of auditions.

AceShowbiz - "American Idol" season 15 auditions continued in the second part of the two-night premiere. The first singing hopeful to perform for the judges that night was 15-year-old Cameron Richard, who was born with a cleft palette, but after a surgery he now can sing. He sang "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran and got three "yes" from the judges.

Daniel Farmer is a 24-year-old student from Tennessee who wanted to seduce Jennifer Lopez with his voice. He dedicated D'Angelo's "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" to J.Lo and she dubbed him "sexy" and "confident." Daniel was sent to Hollywood though Harry Connick Jr. criticized his runs.

Up next was Dalton Rapattoni, a 19-year-old Texan who turned Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" into an indie jam. Harry praised his artistry and Dalton earned a golden ticket.

After a montage of people who didn't make the cut, La'Porsha Renae showed up with her little daughter. She sang "Creep" by Radiohead and her amazing vocals earned her a spot in Hollywood.

Maddie McAllister brought a chicken for her audition, but her rendition of Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova" failed to impress the judges. Trent Harmon left his family's farm to pursue his career in music. His cover of "Unaware" by Allen Stone blew the judges away as Harry called it his favorite audition since they started.

Brook Sample, a 28-year-old waitress, also made it to Hollywood although Harry said she needed to work on her confidence. Olivia Rox, the daughter of Jazz great saxophonist Warren Hill, sang Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man" and Keith Urban liked her "unique" voice. The three judges agreed to send her to Hollywood.

Jessica Clark, Ameet Kanon, and Miss Alaska 2014 Malie Delgado were among other contestants who advanced. Melanie Tierce, singing "Rise Up" by Andra Day, delivered what Harry dubbed "one of the best auditions I've heard in three years." As Harry and Keith noted that most of the contestants advancing were women, J.Lo exclaimed, "It's time a girl won. F**k the guys."

Just for fun, Harry let Ryan Seacrest took his place in the judging panel. But when Brandyn Burnette sang "Lost", Harry couldn't help returning to the room and hugging him from behind. The teenager earned a rare four "yes." Kyrsti Jewel, whose parents are big fans of "Idol", showed her powerful pipes with a performance of "Mamma Knows Best". She also advanced.

Sarah Hayes was so nervous that she forgot the lyrics of "Hero". She switched to "Invincible" by Kelly Clarkson, but J.Lo and Keith didn't like her enough. Tristan McIntosh, on the other hand, wrapped up the episode with a smooth rendition of "Why Baby Why".

She told the judges that she missed her mother, who's serving in the Army in the Middle East a lot. Harry read an email from Tristan's mom before the mother showed up much to the delight of her daughter and family.
