The 2015 BET Awards continued with performances by Chris Brown. The R&B superstar treated the crowd packing the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to three of his tracks. He kicked off his set with "Liquor", the lead single off his upcoming album, before joining forces with Tyga for "Ayo" and bringing out Omarion for "Post to Be".

After a live rendition of "Earned It" by The Weeknd and Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland and Charlie Wilson announced Sam Smith as the winner of Best New Artist. The British singer unfortunately couldn't make it to the event, so host Anthony Anderson received the award on his behalf.

Later, P. Diddy took the stage as he led a 20th anniversary tribute to Bad Boy Records. The rap mogul was joined by Lil' Kim, Pharrell Williams, Ma$e, French Montana and other Bad Boy artists and friends to perform a number of the label's hits before he presented Smokey Robinson with Lifetime Achievement Award.

In honor of Robinson, Tori Kelly and Robin Thicke performed "Who's Loving You" and "Ooh Baby, Baby" respectively before the 75-year-old musician accepted his award. Ne-Yo also paid musical tribute to Robinson as he came out and tackled "The Tears of a Clown".
