Country-turned-pop superstar Taylor Swift wasn't the only one who made an unlikely appearance at the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Pop singers Christina Aguilera and Nick Jonas were also spotted among country music's big names at the Sunday night, April 19 event as they were set to perform.

Aguilera teamed up with Rascal Flatts as she delivered a stripped-down rendition of "Shotgun" which she recorded for a recent episode of "Nashville". Looking chic in a a denim jacket over a white dress, she shared the vocal duties with the group's Gary LeVox. She later joined them for their own song "Riot".

Jonas, meanwhile, put country spin to his songs with the help of Dan + Shay. The former boybander, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, all dressed in black-and-white outfits while holding golden microphone, opened their set singing the "Jealous" chorus in falsetto before transitioning to "Chains".

Another highlight came from Garth Brooks who sang "All-American Kid" off his "Man Against Machine" album alongside a number of active military service members.. His performance was introduced by TV host Nancy O'Dell and Taya Kyle, the widow of the subject of the blockbuster movie "American Sniper" Chris Kyle.

The 2015 ACM Awards aired on CBS from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton as the hosts. Other performers that night included Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell and Little Big Town.
