MTV VMAs 2012 Full Winner List: Rihanna, One Direction, Chris Brown and More

Riri claims the top prize, 1D become the biggest winner, while Breezy and M.I.A. are the other multiple winners at the star-studded awards show on Thursday night, September 6.

AceShowbiz - The complete winners of this year's MTV Video Music Awards have been revealed. Taking home the most coveted gong of Video of the Year was %cRihanna%, thanks to her steamy music video for "We Found Love". Riri defeated the likes of %cDrake%, %cGotye%, %cM.I.A.% and %cKaty Perry% in the category.

Though claiming the top prize, Riri couldn't outnumber the amount of awards taken home by boyband %cOne Direction%. The fivesome successfully grabbed three awards, including Best Share-Worthy Video and Best Pop Video all for their song "What Makes You Beautiful". They also snatched the Best New Artist award, defeating %cCarly Rae Jepsen%, %cFun.%, %cThe Wanted% and %cFrank Ocean%.

"To win one Moonman is ridiculous, to win two is crazy, and to perform is just absolutely insane," one of 1D's members Harry Styles said when receiving the group's second Moonman from %cWiz Khalifa% and %cKe$ha%.

Other multiple winners were %cChris Brown% and M.I.A. with two Moonmen apiece. Breezy collected the Best Male Video and Best Choreography awards thanks to his single "Turn Up the Music", while the English raptress bagged Best Direction and Best Cinematography gongs for her song "Bad Girls".

%cNicki Minaj%, %cDemi Lovato% and %cColdplay% were also included in the winner list with one prize each. While the Harajuku Barbie won the Best Female Video, the former Disney darling and the %cChris Martin%-fronted band took home Best Video With a Message and Best Rock Video trophies respectively.

The 29th annual MTV VMAs has been wrapped on Thursday evening, September 6 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The star-studded show, which was hosted by %cKevin Hart%, was made merry by performances from the likes of %cAlicia Keys% & Nicki Minaj, %cGreen Day%, %c2 Chainz%, %cRihanna% and %cTaylor Swift%.

In addition to the musical performance, the show unveiled a final trailer for much awaited "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" with %cRobert Pattinson% on hand to introduce the footage. Other celebrities spotted attending the event included %cMiley Cyrus%, %cEmma Watson%, %cAmber Rose%, %cLil Wayne%, %cPink% and %cRita Ora%.
