A heroic fireman, who just saved his two best friends, also firemen, from a serious fire at a warehouse, goes missing on the way home from the blaze. It appears that the building has been torched deliberately and when the team discover that the missing man took evidence supporting this away from the scene of the incident, the investigation becomes focused on the owners of the warehouse. However, it is discovered that the friendship between the three firemen has recently become tainted by knowledge of infidelity and gambling debt and the team wonder if this might have something to do with the disappearance. The FBI must balance their need for the truth against their respect for the fire service.
