Kevin and Scotty sign the forms making their adoption of Olivia official. Woo hoo! To initiate her into the family, Olivia is given the task of recording a new answering machine message which includes her name as well as the name of her gecko. Next on the "to do" list is the construction of a giant fort in the middle of the apartment. Olivia names it Geckotown. It's her favorite place to hang.

Geckotown keeps expanding to the point where it's overtaking the entire living room. Kevin thinks Olivia may be overcompensating due to fears she's having from all the changes in her life. Scotty and Kevin move in to the fort to chat about her concerns. Eventually, Geckotown comes down as Olivia is ready to fully embrace her new life in her new home.

Justin's homeless vet friend is now working at Scotty's restaurant. Zach is also crashing at Justin's place where he hears screams coming from the bedroom. He worries that Justin may have Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Justin's paramedic partner also notices that he's a little off his game.

Justin says his problem stems from a nightmare he's been having since he was a kid. It's an "end of the world" type thing where there's utter chaos and he can't save his family. It's why he wakes up screaming. He started having the dream again after Zach showed up. Guess that's because he's been trying to save him, too. Thankfully, Zach found a new job that comes with a place to live, so Justin won't have to worry about him anymore.

Paige is asked to a dance by a boy she really likes. She needs 50 bucks, but Luc won't give it to her. It's just one reason Paige has been giving him the silent treatment. Sarah wants Luc to just give her the money because it's for a bra. Paige was too embarrassed to say anything. She's also heartbroken when the boy she likes breaks their date just before the dance.

Paige is in a lot of pain, but a heart-to-heart with Luc seems to help. He makes her an omelet, which really only requires a few eggs. He suggests they take the remaining eggs with them as they take a little drive over to the house of the boy who stood her up. Luc's so cool. On the bright side, there will be other dances, including the father-daughter one next month that Paige asks Luc to attend.

Nora and Sarah fly to Washington for Evan's birthday celebration. Actually, that's just a cover. They want to see what Kitty's been doing there for the past six weeks. Sarah suspects a man is involved. Nora thinks her daughter may be working for the CIA. But the truth is there's been a complication with Kitty's bone marrow. She's been seeing a specialist and everything seems to be back on track.

Kitty freaks when the place she had intended to have Evan's party is booked. She wants Nora and Sarah to break the news to all guests while she and Evan have a private birthday celebration. Later, Kitty, Nora and Sarah chat about worst case scenarios. It's a conversation that Kitty never wanted to have, but at least she can be sure that Evan will always have someone to care for him.

Kitty announces that it's time for her to come home. When she arrives, the family throws a way more successful birthday party for Evan. Olivia and Paige bond right away. The brothers and sisters look on at the next generation of Walkers. Of course, we're still having a lot of fun with the current crew.
