News of Kitty's relationship with Seth goes public. And by public, we mean it's all over the Internet. That means Seth's mom/Kitty's boss, Dean Whitley, now knows the secret identity of her baby boy's brand new girlfriend. Kitty is horrified. The press has nicknamed her "Cougar Walker-McCallister." Catchy.

Kitty is relieved that Dean Whitley is issuing a statement supporting her relationship with Seth. But she's surprised when her boss questions her reasons for dating her son. After all, Kitty is a highly-motivated person and Seth seems to be making a career out of working on his Masters. Their conversation does not end well.

Kitty wonders about her relationship with Seth. Sure, he's been working on his Masters for five years. Sure, he's been writing a novel for just as long. Sure, his primary meal is the always-tasty, always-economical peanut butter and jelly sandwich. That doesn't mean he's not a grown-up, right?

Actually, that's exactly right. Kitty realizes this after reading one of Seth's short stories featuring a main character that was inspired by her. Suddenly, she doesn't mind kissing him in public anymore. We're thinking she still prefers sushi over PB&J sandwiches though.

Nora is having some relationship issues with Dr. Karl, who is disappointed to learn that Kitty, Seth, Kevin and Scotty will be joining them for dinner. He was looking forward to a quiet evening. That rarely happens when the Walker kids are around. This particular dinner is no exception. Dr. Karl becomes so uncomfortable with the way-too-personal conversations that he leaves in a bit of a huff.

The next day, Dr. Karl calls Nora during her radio show asking for advice on how to apologize to his girlfriend for his little tantrum. The conversation leads them both to realize that their relationship may have run its course. Nora says, "Sometimes two perfectly good people just don't fit together." Sad, but true.

Justin is totally into his new career as a paramedic. He's picking up extra shifts whenever possible. This leaves little time for his still-developing relationship with cute nurse Annie, who suggests doing a ride-along with Justin during his last shift. It's the only way she can spend some time with him.

It's a pretty easy night emergency-wise until they respond to a serious car accident. A male driver is badly injured. Justin assures the guy's wife that he'll be fine. That may not have been a wise thing to say, as the driver's lung collapses. Justin is at the top of his game as he re-inflates the patient's lung during the ambulance ride. This rookie paramedic is totally rockin'. Seriously!

At the end of the shift, Annie offers to make Justin a late dinner at his place. After what they just went through, she believes someone should take care of him for a change. Annie seems like a pretty special lady. Justin is starting to realize this. Sure his schedule's jam-packed, but you can always find time to make a relationship work. BTW, "relationship" is Justin's word, not ours.

Kevin and Scotty attend an adoption fair. It's an event where potential parents can meet and interact with children looking to be placed into families. An outgoing little girl named Olivia offers to be their tour guide. She gives them the lowdown on all the kids. The younger ones tend to get a little shy at these things. Olivia, however, is a seasoned vet.

At the end of the day, the Kevin and Scotty must list their top five picks based on the kids they met. It's an impossible request. How can they possibly choose from all these wonderful, needy children? Things get a little easier when Olivia gives them a big goodbye hug. Kevin and Scotty realize they don't have to make a choice any longer because Olivia just chose them.
