Kevin is upset with various members of his family because they have all been talking to Scotty behind his back. There's still a lot of tension between these two. Kevin doesn't want to be around Scotty, but is willing to suck it up when Paige asks for help from both of them with her debate project. It's an awkward exercise with Kevin and Scotty taking a lot of not-so-subtle digs at each other. It gets bad enough to have Paige bail on the both of them.

Later, Paige plots to get Kevin and Scotty together to talk things out. Kevin is still very angry so he's not thrilled to hear Scotty say that he's selfish. Scotty says, "Sometimes it feels like my life is all about you. It's like you consume all the oxygen in the room." We're thinking that must make it really hard to breathe. Scotty is fighting for them now, but Kevin is scared to let him back in.

Scotty knows he made a mistake and Kevin wishes he could change some things about himself. If there's only some way he could prove to Scotty that he still wants to keep growing with him. There is. Scotty says he can forgive him. It looks like he’s done just that when the two of them show up for Paige's debate together. Whew.

Justin has struck up a friendly relationship with Annie, the cute nurse who assists Holly during her therapy sessions. They actually make plans to go on a date, though Justin doesn't reveal the true nature of his relationship with Holly, who seems to be making progress with her memory. You'd think David would be happy about this. Normally, he would be. He's just not right now. Probably because he's high.

David had such a hard time trying getting Holly to forget about William. After so many years, it finally looked as if he'd cleared that hurdle. The accident took all that progress away. Holly doesn't remember how she felt about him and that's just too much to bear. Justin offers to take David to a meeting. Thankfully, he agrees to go.

Annie is at Holly's place when Justin stops by to pick up David. She realizes he's much more than a friend of the family. Justin finally comes clean. Annie realizes this guy is not ready to separate from his past and makes a hasty exit out the door.

When David and Justin return from a successful meeting, Holly shows them some things she found while they were out. One of the items is the engagement ring David gave her before the accident. Holly remembers it. Not only that, she remembers how she felt when she first got it. Justin tries to skip out, but Holly stops him. She wants him to see the progress she's making. Holly wants him to stop using her and David as a way to hold onto Rebecca. Now it looks like he's ready to grab a cup of coffee with a cute nurse.

Sarah and Kitty decide to partner in a new business venture. First things first. They need to figure out just what that business venture is going to be. The partnership gets off to a rocky start when Sarah discovers that Nora may have steered Kitty away from developing her business skills many years ago. Why? Well, perhaps Nora didn’t want Kitty to outshine Sarah as a businesswoman. We don't believe Mama Walker could possibly be that calculating. But it's obvious that Sarah does.

Nora is a fan of Dr. Karl West, a talk show host at her station. Dr. Karl is also a fan of Nora's show. They are getting along swimmingly until Nora goes on a rant about her kids. Dr. Karl suggests that it's unrealistic for her to think that she has the power to solve all their problems. Think Nora will buy into that theory? Nah.

There's much tension at a mother/daughter photo shoot to promote Nora's show. Sarah and Kitty bicker until Nora loses it. She explains that both girls were always two different people who were guided based one who they "were." Now they are blaming their mom for who they "are." Nora realizes that maybe Dr. Karl was right. The photo shoot is canceled! Nora is off to apologize to Dr. Karl. But no apology is necessary, Dr. Karl is happy enough just having her join him for a drink. He likes listening to her, not as a doctor, but as a friend.

Sarah and Kitty eventually make nice. Kitty realizes she'd be bored in business, so she's going to take a shot at teaching. As for Sarah, she finally figured out what her new business venture will be. She's getting into the media biz. In fact, she's putting in a bid to buy Nora's radio station. Oh boy.
