Wine of the week: 2008 A Cote Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County - Lemons. Paige's science project centers around this wonderful fruit, and looking at all of those lemons makes me want to drink Chardonnay... it's that simple. With balanced acidity and minerality, lemon, lime, and nuttiness this wine is a perfect pairing for a science fair both versatile and delicious! Chardonnay is one of the most versatile varietals around, and also one of the most popular worldwide. There are great examples of Chardonnay made in almost every wine producing country, but Santa Barbara County has some of the best. Cheers!

As Paige prepares for a science fair, she coldly tells her mom to stay out of her business. But she's willing to let Kevin and Scotty give her a hand. The guys are currently basking in the news that they are getting ever-closer to becoming dads. Well, Kevin is basking a bit more than Scotty. It turns out that he has five healthy embryos, while Scotty only has three. But only one of Kevin's embryos makes it to the next stage, while all three of Scotty's remain in the game.

Justin is also brought in to help with the science project which involves building a dancing robot with lemons. Disco balls are also involved. Don't ask. Rebecca doesn't think Justin should be spending time on Paige's project. He's on academic probation and his adviser thinks he should drop out of med school. Justin confides to Kevin that he's thinking the same thing. He studies so hard, but it just doesn't sink in.

At the science fair, Paige continues to be extremely cold towards her mom. Meanwhile, Kevin feels they need to amp up the power on their project by adding more fruit to the robot. Justin doesn't think that's a good idea, but his super-competitive brother won't be stopped until he causes the entire project to topple over. The project is destroyed and Paige is devastated. She blames her mom for what happened and storms out of the classroom.

As Sarah tries to repair Paige's project, she gets a hand from a divorced dad named Roy. On the other side of the room, Rebecca has steered Justin toward a little boy's project that displays a way the eye takes pictures of things that the brain can't always process. It dawns on him that maybe he needs to get tested.

Kevin admits to Paige that he went overboard with her project. He worries that a moment like this may be a sign that he won't make a good dad. But then he convinces Paige to back inside to present her project the way she wanted to in the first place. She does. It's moments like this that make us think Kevin will make a fine dad.

Back at home, Sarah and Paige have a heart-to-heart about what's been going on between them. Paige wants her mom to know that she can do things without her help. Sarah does know that, but she also wants to feel like her daughter needs her sometimes. Paige gives her mom a hug just to let her know that's still the case.

Saul asks Holly to drop the corporate sabotage investigation against Ryan. Of course, by doing so, they give up any chance for reimbursement. Saul says Ryan deserves a second chance after what he did to save Kitty. Surprisingly, Holly says fine. She doesn't want to let Ryan off the hook; she just doesn't want to fight the Walkers anymore. Then she makes a move that catches us completely off guard. She calls Dennis York.

We all know that York is the person behind the sabotage at Ojai and wants to buy the company. So Holly sets an extremely high price. Since this York guy believes William Walker stole the company from him, we're guessing he'll pay anything to get some revenge. But Holly believes York may know something she doesn't regarding the value of Ojai and that's why he's willing to entertain such a ridiculously high buyout number. Hmmm.

After being M.I.A. for six weeks, Simon leaves a couple of messages for Nora. He never cashed the big check she gave him, but that's probably because Nora stopped payment. When Nora doesn't return his calls, Simon shows up at her front door. Turns out he was bitten by a mosquito while in Guatemala where he developed something called Breakbone Fever, which is actually a real thing. We checked it out on WebMD. And that's why he's been gone for so long. Uh huh.

Simon manages to weasel his way back into Nora's good graces. We say "weasel" because we still don't trust this guy. But neither does Nora. She discovers that Simon scammed a Florida woman out of a bunch of money. Nora says, "You're a liar and somehow I didn't see it, which is crazy because I was married to one for 40 years." The doorbell rings. There's a police detective outside with a few questions for Simon. Nora gives him a sandwich before he leaves, which is nice. We hear prison food isn't all that tasty. Way to go, Nora!
