'Game of Thrones': Kit Harington Also Deceived Co-Stars About Jon Snow and He Felt Guilty About It

Harington reveals Liam Cunningham didn't believe him when he said that he's departing the HBO series, while another star's honest reaction made him 'chukle.'

AceShowbiz - If you felt betrayed by Kit Harington's claims that Jon Snow's dead, you may not be the only one. The actor reveals that he even had to lie to other cast members about his return to the sixth season of "Game of Thrones" in order to keep his storyline a secret.

Following his character's resurrection in the latest episode, Harington tells EW that he tried to convince his co-stars and the show's crew for nearly a year that he was leaving the show. "At first I thought I would find it fun," he admits. "This will be a fun game. But I had to lie to a lot of close friends and cast members and crew. The longer it went, the more I felt like I was betraying them. So I did end up letting people in, slowly."

Of course, some of them such as Liam Cunningham who plays Ser Davos Seaworth did buy it. Harington reveals Cunningham "told me to f**k off from the start." But some others like Sophie Turner initially believed it.

"Sophie Turner, bless her, wrote me a really long letter about how much she loved working with me - and I still got it," Harington says of his on-screen sister. "That made me chuckle."

The cast finally figured it out when they got the scripts for season 6 last summer.
