Paramount Pictures has set a January 2017 release date for 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage'.

"XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" has got a release date. Paramount Pictures announced on Wednesday, February 24 that the third "XXX" movie starring Vin Diesel would arrive January 20, 2017 in the U.S.
"XXX3", marking the first film in the franchise since 2005's "XXX: State of the Union", will be up against horror movie "Split" from director M. Night Shyamalan on the date. The first movie led by Diesel raked in $277.4 million worldwide, while the sequel which starred Ice Cube only grossed $71 million worldwide.
"The Return of Xander Cage" finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.
Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Donnie Yen, Conor McGregor, Deepika Padukone and Tony Jaa also star in the film, which is currently in production under the direction of D.J. Caruso.
