Stephen Collins May Escape Charges in Child Molestation Case
Celebrity

Rumor has it, the '7th Heaven' actor is unlikely to be prosecuted in the molestation case because of the statute of limitations.

AceShowbiz - Stephen Collins reportedly will not be charged in child molestation scandal. According to TMZ, prosecutors can't make a case against the "7th Heaven" actor due to the statute of limitations despite the fact that the 67-year-old star admitted to exposing himself to children.

Collins is under investigation after he was caught on tape making the confessions during a secretly-recorded therapy session with estranged wife Faye Grant. The case will likely be dismissed because the known cases are decades old and there is no evidence of more recent crimes.

According to Grant, her estranged husband also molested a child more recently during his run on the wholesome TV series, but the officials are struggling to pursue the case because no victim has come forward to corroborate the allegation.

Although he could escape charges, Collins' career started to fall apart after the molestation scandal. He was fired from "Ted 2" and cut out of "Scandal" new season. He was also dropped by his talent agency.
