Barbra Streisand's 'Partners' Blocks Chris Brown's 'X' From Billboard 200's No. 1

The songstress' new album, which features her duets with some fellow singers, comes atop the chart with 196,000, outselling Breezy's record that debuts with 146,000.

AceShowbiz - As predicted, Barbra Streisand rules this week's Billboard 200 with her "Partners". The singer collects her 10th chart-topping set on the chart after her latest album sells 196,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

That's the largest sales week for a female artist in 2014. "Partners", which features Streisand's collaborations with fellow musicians like Josh Groban, Blake Shelton and Michael Buble, also posts her biggest sales frame since Christmas week of 1997, when her "Higher Ground" sold 402,000 units.

Streisand now ties with Elvis Presley who also has 10 No. 1 album on Billboard 200. The two stars follow Jay-Z who has 13 and The Beatles who has 19. She additionally still holds the record for the most No. 1 albums among women.

Next on Billboard 200, Chris Brown's "X" lands at No. 2 with 146,000, his best sales week since his "F.A.M.E." arrived with 270,000 in 2011. The new record, which was delayed numerous times before hitting the stores earlier this month, gives Breezy his 6th top 10 album.

Tim McGraw's "Sundown Heaven Town" is the next newcomer on the list. The country superstar's newest LP comes at No. 3 with 71,000. Trailing behind him is fellow country star George Strait, whose "Cowboy Rides Away: Live from At&T Stadium" debuts with 51,000. Train's "Bulletproof Picasso" rounds out the top 5 with 50,000.

At No. 6, OneRepublic's "Native" which has been on the chart for 78 weeks soars from last week's No. 57 with 49,000, thanks to the discount on Google Play store. Meanwhile, Maroon 5's "V" plunges from last week's No. 2 to No. 7 with 34,000. Lecrae's "Anomaly" also slides from the top slot to No. 8 with 31,000.

Motionless in White's "Reincarnate" enters the chart at No. 9 with 31,000 and gives the rock band their best sales week ever. The last spot in the top 10 belongs to Slash's "World on Fire", featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, which comes with 29,000. This is Slash's third top 10 set and his second with Kennedy and The Conspirators.
