A representative for the male singer has set the record straight on the extent of the stars' relationship, telling People, "Josh and Katy are very close friends and hang out, but they are not a couple."
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton broke a report earlier this week, claiming Josh Groban and Katy Perry were dating. Giving no single evidence of the twosome's alleged romance, the site cited one of the multiple sources who claimed to be aware of their love relationship, saying Josh and Katy were trying to keep their romance private.

"Nothing I'm singing I've ever sung before, except for South Park with friends," Josh said before his live performance. "There's a lot of stuff that allows me to just be me, then there's a lot of stuff that allows me to let my multiple personalities to go play for a bit."

Josh Groban's Live CD/DVD Arrives in May

The Reprise Records release will be titled "Awake Live" and boasts direction from MTV director, Hamish Hamilton.
The package features songs from the American singer's three best-selling albums, with the majority off of "Awake". Among those included are his 2001 debut single "You Raise Me Up", and the 2003 single "Remember When It Rained" as well as the charting "You are Loved (Don't Give Up)".
50th Grammys Add Fergie and Josh Groban as Performers

The February 10 event will see a duet performance by the two acts plus the first time big duet between two tenors, Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.
According to The ShowBuzz, jazz maestro Herbie Hancock and pianist Lang Lang will also take the stage for a composition by John Mauceri. Hancock will play the piece by George Gershwin called "Rhapsody in Blue". There will also be a tribute and salute segment to rock and roll legends by Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and John Fogerty.

According to Nielsen SoundScan data, "Noel" became the first Christmas album that stays in the number one position on the Billboard Top Ten for four consecutive weeks selling 669,661 albums in this past week ended December 16.
Groban's album has succeeded in becoming the second Christmas album that spent a total of four weeks at number one tying with the record made by Elvis Presley's "Elvis' Christmas Album". Still, Groban has managed to surpass the old record made by Elvis' Christmas Album since though spending four weeks at #1, the latter album only spent three consecutive weeks at the peak position.

The album moved 581,000 copies, an 8 per cent increase from last week, making it the longest Christmas record to stay in the position. Only Elvis Presley ever did this with his season album in 1957.
Coming in at #2 on the chart is Alicia Keys' 'As I Am' that climbs one place after moving 234,000 copies. Eagles' 'Long Road Out of Eden' replaces her album's position at #3 by shifting 204,000 copies, followed by Now 26 compilation (158,000) that remains tight in its fourth position.

Hollywood Stars to Cheer the Walt Disney World Christmas Special

The so-called Christmas Fantasy Parade will have its first performance kicked off next Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Hollywood stars are in line to give hand to cheer up the momentous event.

HSM stars, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, and Corbin Bleu were all at Disneyland on Saturday November 10th to film a Christmas segment for Disney and together they also sang the hit song "What Time Is It?" from "High School Musical 2."

After the competition yesterday, Idol "Gives Back" its 6 contestants for next week round. Nobody was going home during the charity week. Seemingly announcing the result Ryan Seacrest who was accompanied by Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion said, "All your favorites are still in the competition. How could we let anyone go on a charity night?"
This week, the Fox production switched its regular contest program to a fundraising night whereby huge stars were hand in hand to help raise the number of votes. For each vote coming in last night, a dollar will go to poor and starving children in States and Africa.
Josh Groban Extends "Awake" Tour

Seemingly addicted, Josh Groban extends the tour dates to support "Awake" (2006) in Canada and US. The first additional date will be July 17 in Greenville, South Carolina.
The trek will continue up to August 31 in Omaha, Nebraska with 4 Canadian dates in between. These Canadian dates are Aug 12 in Winnipeg, MB, Aug 14 in Edmonton, AB, Aug 15 in Calgary, AB and Aug 17 in Vancouver, BC. Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo will still support Groban all along the extended dates.
"Idols Give Back" in Place of Success Gained by American Idol Show

To celebrate the show's 200th episode, American Idol will hold a two nights show called "Idol Gives Back". Performers such as Gwen Stefani, Pink, Sacha Baron Cohen, Bono, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox, Josh Groban and Il Divo have been tapped in support of the show.
Introduced by host Ryan Seacrest in the Result Show on March 9, the performances that will be aired on April 24th and 25th are conducted in benefit of children in US and Africa. Its basic concept is to relief the poverty by raising money from every vote via phone or text message that comes in. As sponsors, Coke and AT&T will donate the money to several organizations including UNICEF, Global Fund, Save the Children, Nothing but Nets, and Malaria No More.

Back in the years before now, the star once topped the Billboard 200 with "I Am...The Autobiography" in 1999 and "It Was Written" in 1996.
The chart's next best bows among others are the soundtrack to the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana" which climbs one to 2nd spot sold another 349,000 copies, the multi-artist compilation "NOW 23" which also moves up one to No. 3 with 313,000, and Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts" ups two places to No. 4 moving 292,000 copies. Young Jeezy's sophomore album, "The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102", debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. pop album charts Wednesday Dec 20th, selling over 350,000 units in its first week. Thanks to its single "I Luv It" which has entered the Top 10 on the R&B charts and has a successful run in the video market that the LP could reach the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Debut at No. 2 on the chart is Taylor Hicks' self-titled album selling 298,000 copies. Fellow American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, in the meantime, has her LP "Some Hearts" scoring the 6th spot, with another 199,000 copies sold.

The US album chart sees the rising of a new champ as last week's chart-topper, Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come," slips five spots to No. 6, selling another 140,000 copies in the week ended Sunday Dec 4th. Winning the top spot of the week is rock group Incubus whose sixth studio album "Light Grenades" rocketing into the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200, sold 165,000 copies.
Elsewhere on the chart is former chart-topping soundtrack to the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" which bounces five places to No. 2 with 157,000 units. DAUGHTRY's "Daughtry", in the meantime, slips one to No. 3 with 156,000 in its second week, just one place ahead of hits compilation "NOW 23" which is at No. 4 with 154,000. Also slip one to No. 5 is The Beatles' "Love" with 146,000.

The Game leads the pack in busy album release week. The California rapper occupies the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with his sophomore effort "Doctor's Advocate" moved 358,000 copies in the United States in the week ended Sunday Nov 19th, according to Nielsen SoundScan. A significant drop off from the 587,000-unit first week of the Game's "The Documentary", the new album's total however was more than enough to debut the LP at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts.
Meanwhile, hip-hop singer Akon debuts at 2nd spot with his sophomore album "Konvicted" sold 284,000 copies. The multi-artist hits compilation "NOW 23" falls to No. 3 after its No. 1 start last week, selling 194,000. Josh Groban's "Awake" slips two to No. 4 with 150,000, ahead of the soundtrack to Disney's former chart-topper "Hannah Montana" which remains at the 5th spot for a second week with another 114,000 copies. Subsequent to his success in reaching the US pop album charts, with his new LP "Awake" debuted at No. 2, Josh Groban has on Thursday November 16th announced his spring tour dates.
Beginning on February 17th next year in Verona, N.Y. at the Turning Stone Casino, the so-called "Awake Tour" will run through April 7th in Las Vegas. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase at LiveNation.com beginning November 17th at 10am for select dates.

After three years together the couple are "taking a break" from one another, his rep, Liz Rosenberg, tells People. Though so, "They remain friends" so Rosenberg said while won't provide any further details.
