The 'Roar' hitmaker tells her 47 million Twitter followers that she will visit countries around the world in support of her chart-topping album, 'Prism'.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has revealed her plan to embark on a world tour in support of her newest album, "Prism". The 29-year-old pop superstar took to Twitter on Sunday, November 17 to make the exciting announcement.

"GUESS WHAT? I'M GOING ON A WORLD WIDE TOUR!!!" she told her 47 million fans who follow her on the social networking site. "Playing ALL your favorite songs AND all the brand new ones!"

"GUESS WHERE I'LL BE KICKING IT OFF?" she said, before adding that she would reveal more details on Monday, November 17. "TOMORROW [Monday] I will reveal all! Clue: I love these people and their accents."

Perry's previous tour, "California Dreams", included 124 shows in cities across the world. It became one of the highest-grossing tours of 2011.

Perry's "Prism" landed at No. 1 on Billboard 200 after it was dropped back in October. The lead single, "Roar", also topped Billboard 100 earlier this year. Perry recently shared a sneak-peek clip for the upcoming music video of her second single, "Unconditionally". The full visuals is set to arrive on Tuesday, November 19 via MTV.
