Adam Driver has addressed swirling rumors regarding his potential involvement in "Man of Steel 2". Asked by Collider if the news is true, the actor known for his role as Adam Sackler on HBO's comedy series "Girls" says, "Oh, no, it isn't."

"No, not as far as I know," he goes on insisting that he's not cast as Nightwing. "No, there's no truth to it. I don't know whoever put it on there. I don't know how these things get [started] -- I don't know how it first came about."

Driver wasn't the only one linked to the role of Batman's sidekick Dick Grayson, the first incarnation of Robin who later takes on the independent superhero identity Nightwing. "Gossip Girl" alum Penn Badgley and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" actor Ezra Miller have been reported being considered for the part, too, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman while Ben Affleck is officially cast as Batman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie. Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot and Elodie Yung are reportedly auditioning for Batman's love interest rumored to be Diana Prince or better known as Wonder Woman.

Zack Snyder returns to his directing seat. Filming is slated to begin early next year to meet the planned release date, July 17, 2015 in the U.S.
