McAdams stars as Mary, who encounters an awkward time traveler and falls for him, in the trailers for Richard Curtis' flick.
An awkward man has stolen Rachel McAdams' heart. The first trailers for "About Time" briefly chronicle how Domhnall Gleeson can end up marrying charming McAdams. Without her knowledge, Gleeson is apparently a time traveler and has made good use of his special ability to woo her.
By clenching his fists in a dark room and concentrating on the moment he wants to relive, Gleeson is able to perfect McAdams' first impression on him, their first-time sex, and to eventually ask for her hand in marriage. However, everything does not always go as planned as McAdams later says, "We've never met before."
British king of romantic comedy films Richard Curtis directs and pens "About Time", a tale of a young man named Tim who is informed that all the men in their family have the ability to travel back in time. As he tries to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend, he accidentally erases the timeline, forcing him to try and win her over again.
In addition to McAdams and Gleeson, the upcoming flick from Working Title Films features Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Vanessa Kirby and Margot Robbie.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, the romance drama is set for a limited release on November 1, before opening nationwide on November 8.
