Justin Bieber's much-anticipated music video for his new single "Boyfriend" has finally arrived in its entirety. Living out every guy's dream, the teen singer channels his inner ladies man and drives a flashy car to impress a hot-looking brunette and lure her into his arms.
The music video was helmed by Director X who said that it's only natural to present a mature Bieber because he's already "just a little more grown-up." The director explained, "From what they wanted to do with Justin and the song and who he is and his age now, I thought that was it."
The video was originally filmed by Colin Tilley, but Bieber wanted to "switch things up." He said, "I think it's super cool. I wanted to do something a little bit more mature." Talking about cars, he spilled, "I have a Range Rover and a Fisker. And I have a Smart Car. It just helps me get from point A to point B. I call it my little 'swag car'."
Sharing about his experience of working with the Canadian teen popstar, X had nothing but praise although he "never worked with him before or met him before" making this video. "He's a good kid. He comes to work, gets the job done, dedicated to the gig. I mean, I like him," he gushed.
"Boyfiend" is taken from Bieber's new album "Believe" which is due in the U.S. on June 19. He is scheduled to perform the single on the finale of "The Voice" on May 8, and has already kicked off rehearsals for the upcoming gig.
He will next perform at 2012 Billboard Music Awards live from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 20. He's joined by Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado, Carrie Underwood, The Wanted and LMFAO.
