Justin Timberlake Planning Talent Search on MySpace
Celebrity

Partly owning the then-powerful music website, Timberlake has a plan to find aspiring singers through the site.

AceShowbiz -

MySpace shareholder Justin Timberlake already plans a few things to revive the glory of the once-popular social network. The singer's manager Johnny Wright said that among the things that Timberlake has in mind is finding new talent, be it a singer or a group, through MySpace.

"Whether it becomes a talent competition or something like that, those are things that we will still flesh out," Wright said. "We definitely want to bring the industry back to MySpace to really look at the talented people that have put their faces there."

The concept was indeed conceived within two weeks before the negotiations between Specific Media and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp resulted in partnership. Media paid 35 million dollars to purchase the music lovers destination last week and announced Timberlake as part owner and part creative force. A press conference is scheduled to take place August 17 and is expected to detail on Timberlake's roles.

Wright did not go specific on the talent search but said that his client is bursting with ideas. Wright said he got an email from Timberlake that said, "Are you up? My mind is going dizzy with ideas. I need to talk" just one day after the deal was closed.
