Witnessing her parents' murder right in front of her eyes at 9 has prompted Cataleya to hunt down the mobster, with the pure intention to kill.
"Never forget where you came from," is the emphasize in the first trailer of "Colombiana". Zoe Saldana stars as Cataleya, a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child.
The trailer would like to explain how Cataleya came to where she is now, murdering people who have done her wrong. She reveals her childhood pain has fueled her passion to kill the mobsters who are responsible for her parents' deaths. Her ultimate goal is aided by her uncle who trained her as a bloodless killer.
Lennie James and Michael Vartan play the agents on her tail while Cliff Curtis is the uncle. The action thriller is directed by "Transporter 3" helmer Olivier Megaton using the script by Luc Besson and his "Taken" collaborator Robert Mark Kamen.
TriStar Pictures would release the film on September 2 in the U.S. Meanwhile, the trailer will be attached to rom-com "Jumping the Broom" which is released in theaters this Friday, May 6.
