Movie

The bootleg version of the brand new trailer from James Cameron's much-anticipated 3-D sci-fi that is being shown in theaters has been popping out.

AceShowbiz - A brand new trailer of the highly anticipated "Avatar" which is screened in theaters this weekend has been leaked. While 20th Century Fox is quick to take down the bootleg version, AceShowbiz has got a peek at the trailer and can provide a written description on what the promo footage, which lasts more than three minutes, has to offer.

The trailer opens with a character telling Sam Worthington's Jake Sully, "I'd like to talk to you about a fresh start, a new world. You'd be making a difference." Then, the footage cuts to aerial shot of Pandora and wheelchair-bound Jake making his first touch at the world populated by the Na'Vi. "I became a Marine for the hardship," Jake's voiceover is heard on the background. "I told myself I could pass any test a man can pass. All I ever wanted was a single thing worth fighting for."

As the trailer moves on to tease on the lush tropical forests of the Alien world and its inhabitants, Giovanni Ribisi's Parker Selfridge explains why man came to the planet in the first place. This first half of the trailer exposes the film's storyline from the Marine's point of view and why Jake is given the chance to walk again using his avatar body.

The second half highlights on Jake's effort to infiltrate the Na'vi community using his avatar and his growing bond with Zoe Saldana's Neytiri. It moves on to show that as the tension between the human and the Na'vi mounts, Jake begins to empathize with the Na'vi. Before the trailer comes to a close, one Na'vi is heard rallying his warriors, "They've sent us a message, that they can take whatever they want. Well, we will send them a message. That this is our land!"

"Avatar" was first conceived by director/producer/writer James Cameron 14 years ago. Undergoing four years of actual production work, it stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and many others. The movie will open wide in U.S. theaters on December 18.
