Paula Abdul debuts her new song '[I'm Just] Here for the Music' in Ryan Seacrest's Tuesday Morning radio show and tells the host that she may perform the song in 'American Idol'.

AceShowbiz - A brand new song called "[I'm Just] Here for the Music" from Paula Abdul has been debuted during Ryan Seacrest's radio show, Tuesday Morning, on May 5. it is co-written by Danielle Brisebois and Wayne Rodrigues. The dance track is worked on by Paula with producer Oliver Lieber, who helped making her 1988 album "Forever Your Girl". It is confirmed to be the first single from Paula's new album, which is planned to be dropped this fall.

After being played for the first time by Ryan on his radio show, the song will be made available for free stream on Paula's official website and may be showcased live by her in "American Idol" on May 6. "I wasn't sure if I was going to do it, because timing is of the essence," Paula said in regard of her possible performance at the singing competition. "I put everything together Saturday, rehearsed on Sunday. ... I feel really good about it. There's a lot to see in less than three minutes."

In addition to talking about the new song, Paula Abdul also discussed the possibility of her returning behind Idol judge table with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. Unlike Kara DioGuardi's previous statement about being unsure of coming back to the show, she noted her hope to be billed as the next season's judge for the show. "I've had a blast, I love this show, hopefully I will be coming back for more ... I have to weigh in everything," she shared. "I'm sure we'll all be there."
