Billy Ray Cyrus Upset by Jamie Foxx's Remark on Miley Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus reportedly is upset by the negative remark that Jamie Foxx has made toward his daughter Miley Cyrus and hopes the matter "would just go away".

While Miley Cyrus herself has not yet commented on the harsh remark that Jamie Foxx made for her during a recent broadcast of his Sirius radio show "The Foxxhole", her father Billy Ray Cyrus reportedly is upset by the actor-singer's conduct. "He thinks Jamie was out of line and didn't find any humor in it," a source close to Cyrus family tells E! News' Marc Malkin. "He doesn't understand why he would do that to Miley especially since he has teenage daughter himself."

And contrary to Jamie's claim that he "wasn't sure who Miley was," the source says both stars know each other. They, as claimed by the source, met at the "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future Concert." The source, moreover, states that Miley and her family have "always been fans of Jamie, especially after meeting him. That's why it's even more disappointing," adding that, "To say he didn't know who Miley was doesn't make sense."

Meanwhile, a representative for Miley and her family declines to comment on the existing controversy. "Billy Ray isn't going to say anything publicly because he doesn't want to this to escalate," the same source tells E! News. "He wishes it would just go away."

No words have been made by Jamie himself regarding his negative remark on Miley. His representative also makes no direct comment on that matter, saying Jamie plans on releasing a statement soon.

Blaming Miley Cyrus for publicly stating that she planned to ruin Radiohead's career after the band refused to meet her at the 51st annual Grammy Awards back on February 8, Jamie Foxx and the crew on his "The Foxxhole" radio show made harsh comment toward the 16-year-old Disney star. "She's going to ruin Radiohead's career?" Jamie stated. "The same Radiohead that gets paid a million dollars just to sample their song? That Radiohead?"

"At first I wasn't sure who Miley Cyrus was, wondering out loud, 'Is she the one with all them gums?'" he continued before then went on telling Miley to "grow up, ..... get like Britney Spears, ...... do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe ..... And catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat."

If it was a white person saying that to a young black teenager all hell would break loose. They would be crying.

He needs to pick on a female his age; or at least one that's an adult. What he did is in the likings of a potential child molester when he wished those things upon that child. I like to see what would happen if he made a comment like that to someone like Aunt Esther from Sanford and Sin.

now if the roles were reversed, we'd have protests and cry's of racist comments by white people, but you can say that can you, unless your black insulting a white person

Jamie Foxx, you're riding on Miley's success and popularity, shame on you. You think that lambasting somebody is funny? What if another "comedian" do that to your daughter? Guess not, because she's not popular. You are afraid that you are going over the hill that's why you have to create your own gimmicks. Shame, shame, shame. What you need to do is to shut your mouth tight and stop attacking somebody who do you no harm.

Can people just laugh anymore. Everyone is so damn uptight. Why can't comments just be chalked up to comedy. Even if you don't like it, it was a show. Why did Miss Cyrus want to ruin someone's career because they would not meet her. So what, does she meet each & every fan that wants to meet her, hell no. If that's the fact come & meet my daughter, she's a big fan. People always feel others owe them something, I don't care who you are, no one owes you anything, if they did not want to meet you, chalk it up as a loss & move on. Hurt feelings are a part of life, get over it.

Yeah! I'm glad that some of you are now checking this fool for his outlandish statements. But I knew that he was going to dig a hole to fall into a few years back when he started making jokes about OJ without any real knowledge of his true guilt or innocense. You all should have spoke up and checked his ignorant ass back then.

The Media shoukd NOT allow the release of "The Soloist". The is clearly a attack on white America and if it was a attack on Black America there would be protesting and the black whores Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would be running their mouths as usual. DO NOT RELEASE ANY FILMS BY JAMIE FOXX.

Where's the media coverage to remove Mr. Foxx from the airwaves the way they did when Imus made his comment about the Rutger's girls basketball team. Mr. Foxx you only wish you were half as successful as the Cyrus's". At least they didn't stoop to your level. You're leading quite the example for your own daughter. I hope no one ever slams her for no apparent reason other than pure jealousy. As loyal fans/supporters of Hanna Montana-Miley Cyrus we know she and her family would not speak of others in the same manner as you did. I just heard your apology and it lacked the sincereity I would have hoped. Just because you're a "comedian" doesn't give you the right to talk about any young star that way.

Jamie Foxx is a jerk, the poster "your all real family" is an arsehole, and posters "jack" and "dizzy" are shitheads...MILEY is the biggest and brightest star in the entertainment world...any questions?

I'm not a big fan of Billy Ray or Miley but the fact that he, (Billy Ray), is keeping quiet on this shows that he has class. Jamie Foxx is a moron and there really isn't anything else that needs to be said on the matter. He can't take it back no matter how many fake public apologies he makes. Jamie you screwed up big time and showed the world just what your made of. Absolutely no couth or class.

Achy Breaky heart is the bigger man exactly why? For using the name of his own talentless ass to pimp his mediocre "musician" daughter out. Seriously? As far as Jamie Foxx not being funny, you forget he got started doing pretty raunchy stand up and then had a tv show for years before middle america caught on to him. Who really gives a shit if he tore her a new one on his talk radio show, goo dfo rhim, that what she gets for being a whiney spoiled diva, which is exactly what she is. Mrs. Montana is far from innocent, get over yourselves and your fake self righteous bs, like the cyrus' really give a shit about any of you middling proles, all you douchebags probably tell worse jokes about Indians and Mexicans at work on a daily basis, piss off...

And ps jamie foxx is funny as f*ck, always has been, since "in livin' color". One of the funniest people of all time actually. need proof, google the vid of him DESTROYING another comedian at a roast they both did, that = one of the funniest things i have ever seen in my entire life

Jamie Foxx is a complete moron. He was on the Jay Leno show and joked by asking, "...should they take away my comedic license for this?" In my opinion (even if there was such a thing as a comedic license) he shouldn't even have one. The man is a good actor (I'll give him that), but he's not funny at all. And this whole thing just shows who the bigger man is (Billy Ray). I definitely give Billy Ray mad props for keeping his cool.
