Pop diva Mariah Carey adds fuel to the long persistent rumors of her carrying a baby in the oven as she reportedly has purchased a $200,000 worth of furniture from a children's store in San Francisco, including a pink crib and a highchair. Regarding the chosen color, it sparks further speculation that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting a baby girl.
The baby gear, according to The New York Daily News' Gatecrasher, are planned to be set up in the $125 million David Saperstein's mansion in Holmby Hills, which Mariah reportedly is planning to buy. "It's 45,000 square feet and looks like a European castle," a source tells the news media. "It's so big, it can't even be called a mansion - it's similar to Buckingham Palace!"
"She has asked [interior decorator] Kenneth Bordewick to advise on her new home and has requested an all-pink nursery. It's going to be over the top!" the source adds.
As of press time, there has yet denial nor confirmation from Mariah and Nick regarding report of her alleged pregnancy. Mariah herself also hasn't commented on reports of her planning to buy the particular estate.
