Mariah Carey's "H.A.T.E.U." video shoot on Malibu beach, California indeed has been wrapped. However, director Brett Ratner still needs another shoot and thus took Mariah and his crew to New York City on November 6 for another filming process.

Unlike the Malibu set which witnessed Mariah sporting a white bikini and black silk swimsuit, the NYC video shoot sees her rocking a black leather jacket matched with a pair of heeled boots. Premiere date for the video is still unclear.

With its U.S. limited release closing in by days, "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" has got a red carpet treatment in Los Angeles. The premiere, held on Sunday, November 1 at Grauman's Chinese Theater, was a part of the drama movie's participation at AFI Fest 2009, which runs from October 30 to November 7.

Neither Mariah Carey nor Paramore rules Billboard Hot 200 this week as they have lost the hot spot to Barbra Streisand. "Love Is the Answer", the latest record from the singer with the most No. 1 albums, sold 180,000 copies. Meanwhile, Paramore's "Brand New Eyes" and Mariah's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" could only scan 175,000 and 168,000 units respectively.

With such number, Paramore sit at number two on the U.S. albums chart and Mariah follows at the third place. First week sale projection from Billboard actually had estimated either Paramore or Mariah could be crowned this week's champ, but both of them miss the spot. The final result is not quite a surprise as according to HITS Daily Double, Barbra had come to the second place between Paramore and Mariah per October 6.

A week after Mariah Carey's latest studio effort "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" was outed in U.S. on September 29, Trey Songz revealed that all materials in the the album will be remixed. "There's gonna be remixes to everything," he told Rap-Up.

After being pushed back from August 25 to September 15, Mariah Carey's new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is once again delayed. The record is now confirmed to be put out for purchase across America on September 29.

The top-selling recording artist and the rapper-actor, according to Latina magazine, tied the knot on Wednesday, April 30 in a small ceremony on an undisclosed island. The publication cited a source as saying, the wedding was "very impulsive" and attended by a few close friends of the couple, including Da Brat.

While representatives for either Carey or Cannon were not available for comment, a source close to the pop diva told Latina magazine that the wedding was held at Carey's Eleuthera home in the Bahamas, which she has just purchased. Another source, meanwhile, told The New York Post that both Carey and Cannon did not sign a prenup.

Mariah Carey has extended her deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) that will continue to publish Carey's catalog and future works for the world. U.S. District Court Judge Kimba Wood decided that the case is not strong enough to proof that Carey and her team have used Chafir's song which is claimed hardly resembling Mariah's hit. "It was the right decision," Carey's lawyer Ilene Farkas told MTV. "The record was clear in this case."

Sad to say but Mariah Carey's weekend concert in Hong Kong was canceled Thursday Oct 26th because of poor ticket sales and what promoters said were the pop star's "unreasonable demands." Carey actually was slated to perform Saturday Oct 28th at an outdoor space in Hong Kong which will mark the last stop of her tour after performances in Japan this week.

In a statement posted on their Website Thursday morning, the concert promoters Concerts Asia said "As promoters of the Mariah Carey Hong Kong concert, we have decided to cancel the event effective immediately due to both the poor response of public ticket sales and also due to specific last-minute demands which we find wholly unreasonable and not with the best interests of Hong Kong, us and also the fans."

Grammy-winning singer Mariah Carey has teamed up with Pepsi to write and produce 20 original voice and music ringtones for a promotion by the soft-drink giant. The multiplatinum-selling singer, moreover, will also star in a national commercial promoting the Pepsi Cool Tones & Motorola Phones partnership as part of her endorsement deal.

Speaking on the partnership, Carey said "I had a lot of fun with this project. Mariah Carey has signed a deal with Elizabeth Arden Inc. to develop and market her own line of perfumes. The first perfume of the fragrance line is said to hit stores in the spring of 2007.

No joke, Jamie Foxx surprisingly secures the very top position of the album charts with his sophomore effort, "Unpredictable," sold another 131,000 copies for the week ended Sunday. This is the second time the star leads the US album charts, beats Mary J. Blige to second with her album "The Breakthrough" sold 118,000 copies.

Following them is Eminem, whose "Curtain Call" wins the 3rd place sold more than 100,000 copies. The Strokes sold just 88,000 copies of their third album "First Impressions of Earth" to be at No. 4, just one place ahead of Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts" at 5th for the third week in a row, with 81,000 copies. Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi," meanwhile, ups two places to No. 6 with 78,000.

The 37th NAACP Image Awards Nominations

The 37th annual NAACP Image Awards nominations announced Tuesday Jan 10 was dominated by UPN series "Everybody Hates Chris" which was up for five trophies including that of Outstanding Comedy Series, Actor in a Comedy Series for Tyler James Williams, Actress in a Comedy Series for Tichina Arnold, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Terry Crews and Director of a Comedy Series for Ken Whittingham. The set, chronicling the semi-fictionalized childhood of Chris Rock, tied Fox's "The Bernie Mac Show" and UPN's "Half & Half" for most nominations in the comedy series categories.

In the meantime, Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey earned four nominations each, including Best Song and Album. Notable musicians celebrated their winning at the 33rd annual prestigious American Music Awards held Tuesday Nov.22 at the Shrine Auditorium. Mariah Carey was one among many who got nominated at the event. Apparently, the pop superstar has asked toy-makers to produce a host of miniature dolls that will look exactly like her. The dolls even will have a diamond replica of the butterfly ring she always wears. Yet, the set will be strictly limited edition. Per Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, there will only be 3,000 of them, which are supposed to be for kids.

Songsters to Perform at Lions' Halftime

Songsters, including pop diva Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton, are set to perform at the nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game between the Detroit Lions and the Atlanta Falcons. Yet, both of them have different duties to do.

As of Carey, she is tapped to perform two songs, while Braxton is set to sing the national anthem. Moreover, there will also a 90-second introduction, shows players volunteering in their communities with other residents, which is narrated by Morgan Freeman and was produced by NFL Films.

British superstars The Rolling Stones have another task to complete. That is performing at the 2005 American Music Awards to be held November 22 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The band will join the event via satellite from Salt Lake City's Delta Center to perform a song from its latest album, "A Bigger Bang."

Mariah Carey Leads AMA Nominees

Just like the title of her single, Mariah Carey and American Music Award nominations belong together. The R&B diva led the 33rd annual AMA, scheduled for Nov. 22 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and will be broadcast live by ABC, earning four nominations including Favorite Female Pop Singer and Favorite Female Soul Singer.

Mariah Set for the 2005 MTV Movie Awards

The 14th annual MTV Movie Awards, held June 4 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will perform a bunch of famous singers, including Mariah Carey, Eminem, and Nine Inch Nails. Besides Jimmy Fallon, the ceremony has also listed Tom Cruise, Samuel L.
