Willing to get better with his growing age, Prince has a change of heart that he decided to turn his back on his raunchy past. The hit maker openly admitted he no longer wants to write songs with lusty lyrics and perform dirty dancing on-stage because he does not want to offend his fans, who as time goes by have grown up and had children.

Talking about his determination, Prince told USA Today, "I did the Dirty Mind tour and pushed that envelope off the table. What I didn't do, Madonna finished. I don't want to go back. You have to get out of your own way." He went on revealing the fact that he is a Jehovah's Witness advocate has also contributed to his decision. Giving credit to the bible, which he often reads, Prince furthermore remarked "that's another way faith has changed me."

Notwithstanding with that, Prince has just launched his first book, "21 Nights." The set is a multi-media volume based on his 21 consecutive sold-out concerts at London's O2 arena back in the summer of 2007. He previously stated that the tome features poetry which he wrote himself, 124 never-before-seen photographs by Hollywood's Randee St. Nicholas who was given backstage access during the concerts, and a live sessions CD titled "Indigo Nights" from the concerts after-parties with new music by him.

Dear MR. Prince first of all I congradulate you for desireing to change I once was a jw who needeed to change but could not find the power for lasting change within the jw religion. So I started reading my Bible, and came across some verses like Isaiah 9:6 and John 20:28 which no jw had ever showed me,look for your self, they wanted me to turn to them, and not trust in God Himself to bring me to The Truth, when I chose to trust God to teach me the Truth and not men, God saved me and gave me Eternal life and finally lasting change came, I dont hate jws, I love them and want to reach them for the Jesus of the Bible, not the created jesus of the watchtower, the Bible warns at 2 Corinthians 11:4, and Jesus warns at Matthew 24:4,5, 24: 23-27, that false christs and false prophets will rise up and deceive many, and at matthew 7:21-23 we are warned that if we have believed in a false Christ, We will be rejected by the True Christ, I love and grew up with alot of your music, but cant as a Christian listen to it, maybe someday you could change the words to some of your wonderful songs to reflect the way God would have you write them and then He would be glorified and we would be blessed Love Douglas

It always amazes me how people are so quick to judge and be experts on sumthing they have no idea about. Before u say "CULT!!" do your research, read up somewhere reliable on JWs and next time they come to your door, give em 2 min hear their side. Only a fool condemns what he doesnt know. I would totally respect someone who says he hates Jehovah's Witnesses coz of legit reasons, coz of certain teachings that he's CONFIRMED are actually JW teachings or customs. lol @ Bill Olsen & Dogpatch, the height of ignorance. Why dont you ask about blood transfusions and 144000? And its not a 19th century religion (thank u for using the right word)They're apparently recording exponential increases every year. How can you hate on someone who says he wants to clean up his life?

I won't bash Prince or his religious beliefs. How do I know this story is even true? I like Jehovahs Witnesses... & all people. Why would someone have so much hate in their heart & be so negative about 1 group of people. so sad...

Jehovah's Witnesses (Watchtower sect) are the worst of the worst among the hardcore fundys. They don't believe in hellfire just make it hell on earth for members who try to leave their cult. Lots of twisted teachings,no blood transfusions, 144,000 go to heaven, child abuse and abuse of women and elderly.

First off, this photo of Prince is probably an old one. If you don't see Prince on a daily basis, you don't know what he looks like, now do you?? Next, people spend so much time ragging on others for doing something worthwhile with their lives and don't even have the moral or spiritual compass to point out what anyone is doing, right or wrong. It goes without saying that Prince will be a lot better off by not pandering to audiences who crave that debauchery. It's great that he has found a faith that has helped him to reshape his thinking and actions for the better.

whether anyone likes witnesses or not isnt the point the dude is standing up at least for honesty & morality, you cant bash him for that. He believes it, he's trying, its sure a lot better sounding than what most stars stand up for!

What a waste! I love Prince,I hope he comes to his senses and doesn't squander his career for a frigging cult. [If a Jehovah's Witness ever did meet God he'd probably try to teach him the "truth" and convert Him.]

Who are we to judge. If a man works in harmony with Jehovah's principles, who are you to interfere. Where do you stand. Check yourself before you check others.

Pandering to the fears created by the fundamentalist old men in Brooklyn that run the Watchtower. So sad, do a little research Prince, this is a corny 19th century religion. At least you could have joined when it was partly believable. Not in today's world, where the Watchtower/Jehovah's Witnesses are a CARNIVAL ACT at best! Sad.

GREAT JOB PRINCE. yOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN WHAT GOD TELLS US TO DO OR WE CAN MISS OUT ON LIFE. HE IS DOING WHAT GOD ASKS OF HIM IF HE IS FINALLY GIVING UP THOSE LUSTY LYRICS, WHICH IS OF THE WORLD. THIS IS THEIR WAY OF MAKING MONEY, INSTEAD OF DOING WHAT THE BIBLE OF GOD TELLS US TO DO.

. He comes accross about as informed as U2's Bono on God's name. Evidently being honest has it's limits. .

He looks so worldly. He can't be one of Jehovah's Witnesses

WELL I THINK ITS GREAT THAT HE HAS FOUND THE TRUTH AND DESPITE RIDICULE FROM THOSE WHO DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT TAKING JEHOVAHS SIDE MEANS>>>THIS IS ONLY ONE STEP HE IS TAKING TO CHANGE HIS WAYS AND BEING A WITNESS IS MORE THAN SAYING YOUR ONE BUT IT IS LIVING IN ACCORDANCE WITH WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS AND NOT MAN AND THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME MESS UPS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL IMPERFECT BUT WE HOPE TO LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES
