Prince Sued Norway Label Over Copyrights Infringements
June 27, 2008 04:06:04Veteran singer, Prince caught himself in another legal battle as this time he decided to sue a Norwegian record company, C+C Records over copyrights infringements. The 50-year-old singer was upset because the company released a 5-CD cover album of his songs titled "Shockadelica: A 50th Anniversary Tribute to the Artist Known as Prince" without asking an approval first.
The company did actually send Prince a copy of the record but it was after they dropped about 5,000 copies to the market. Knowing that his songs have been illegally used, the singer asked that the cover album is pulled out of the market and all copies of it to be destroyed.
Hit Maker Prince Turns Book Author

The recording artist, as stated by Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, has been working on a book called "21 Nights," a multi-media volume based on his 21 consecutive sold-out concerts at London's O2 arena in the summer of 2007.
"21 Nights," which is slated to be released in September, is said to feature poetry by Prince, 124 never-before-seen photographs by Hollywood's Randee St. Nicholas who was given backstage access during the concerts, and a live sessions CD titled "Indigo Nights" from the concerts after-parties with new music by Prince. Per Atria, the book's jacket will be printed with a black and silver duotone paper-over-board and will be "elegantly sealed in a purple slip case with foil stamping and then shrink-wrapped for protection."

Purple speaks trouble for Prince. The Grammy winning singer has been sued by his landlord, none other than Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer, for purple changing Boozer's West Hollywood home, which he is renting for $70,000 a month.
Boozer originally filed a complaint against the singer in January, claiming he did an unauthorized extreme makeover to the 10-bedroom, 11-bath property, including "painting the exterior of the [house] with purple striping, 'Prince symbol,' and numbers 3121."
Prince Announces Special Guest Appearance

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Prince released an announcement addressed to fan club members mentioning that he is performing Saturday at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis. He, to be more specific, will be a "special guest" of the R&B singer Tamar who three weeks ago performed with him on "Saturday Night Live".
Tickets for the show dubbed "Tamar with special guest Prince" already sold out within minutes. Though, there will be more seats which are available through Ticketmaster starting at noon Wednesday at $50 apiece. Soon then, the twosome will embark on two more concerts, in Chicago, Ill. on Monday and Philadelphia, Pa. on Wednesday.

Troubled supermodel Kate Moss has had a brand new life. She has gone from rehab clinic to Britain's Most Stylish Woman. That's according to recent poll conducted by Grazia magazine. Involved about 5000 readers, Moss is voted the 1st Britain's Most Stylish Woman of the year.
Put in 2nd is British actress Sienna Miller, followed closely behind by Keira Knightley, Princess Diana and Stella McCartney all of whom seat at No. 3 to 5 in a row. Sixties supermodel Twiggy is voted the 6th, while Cat Deeley, Victoria Beckham, Elizabeth Taylor and Rachel Weisz are all rounding out the Top 10.
Donnell Prince of Trillville Arrested
February 08, 2006 02:02:03Donnell Prince, a member of rap group Trillville, was arrested last week on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl at a party. Police said he was charged with raping and two counts of aggravated sodomy.
Explaining on what's going on, DeKalb police Officer Cory Hughes said Prince was one of two men who allegedly raped the girl in the bedroom during a small party on December 16 last year. And authorities are now searching for the second man believed to have been involved.
"Potter" and "Narnia" Sequels in the Making

Two giant studios behind Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia series announced Thursday, February 2 that the sequels have been slated to start filming in this year. The fifth part of Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", will begin its shooting process next week in England as confirmed by Warner Bros while Disney along with Walden Media stated that "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" are ready to roll cameras later this year and has already commenced the pre-production process.
Original cast of the previous Harry Potter movies will return with some new faces on board, namely Imelda Staunton as Ministry of Magic toadie Dolores Umbridge, George Harris as the auror Kingsley Shacklebolt, Helen McCrory as Bellatrix Lestrange, and a newcomer Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood. The film itself is scheduled for a 2007 release yet there is no confirmation whether it will be either a summer or holiday movie.
