The party still continued after that at the 2006 MTV VMA, at least for Beyonce Knowles and her folks as the former "Destiny's Child" member celebrated her 25th birthday that night, Thursday, August 31, in the VIP room of 40/40 Club.
Held by Jay-Z, her boyfriend, the party's guests also included singer fellows like Andre Benjamin, John Legend, Young Jeezy, Nicole Richie, Slim Thug, Rihanna, Ne-Yo and Kelly Rowland. Knowles' parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, were also present along with her younger sister, Solange Knowles.
Inside, people danced on the staircase while the awards ceremony replayed on the big screen in the upstairs ESPN room. Downstairs, a montage of magazine covers, various televised performances and videos of the beauty was featured on the screens that hang from walls and the ceiling.
Beyonce, whose birthday actually is September 4, is set to release her sophomore solo album "B'Day" worldwide on the very day of her birthday and on the day after in U.S. "It taps every emotion, all the things women go through," so she said about the album.
