Destiny's Child Inspired by Spice Girls to Reunite
December 18, 2007 04:12:23Many speculations may have been laid out regarding Destiny's Child reunion but none is as close to this. Member Kelly Rowland has revealed her desire to reform with ex-bandmates Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams (II) and will talk about it over Christmas dinner.
One of the reasons that prompted Rowland to want a reunion with the group is Spice Girls. "This current spate of reunions has given us ideas," Rowland said. "Despite what people say we are all still really close." Spice Girls released a Greatest hits in November and launched a reunion tour that kicked off December 2.

Destiny's Child has reunited briefly on Sunday, September 2. Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have both joined Beyonce Knowles on stage to finish the song 'Survivor' during a 'The Beyonce Experience' concert.
The surprise appearance that took place in Los Angeles' Staples Center was prepared as part of Beyonce's birthday. The singer will turn 26 on September 4 and her close affiliates including boyfriend Jay-Z have decided to give a big celebration.

It turns out that Destiny's Child is not so deeply buried after all. Member Kelly Rowland makes sure that the group will get back together again and perform, someday.
"We listen to each other's songs and offer constructive criticism," Rowland said. "We went our separate ways because we're getting older and have different personal goals. But we might get back together one day. For now, we're giving each other space."

Kelly who turns out to lead the nomination this time. Obtaining a Best Male R&B-Soul Album nod for his "TP.3 Reloaded", the R&B crooner was also nominated in Best Male R&B-Soul Single and Best R&B-Soul or Rap Music Video categories for song "Trapped in the Closet (Chapter 1 of 5)" besides being the first recipient of the Stevie Wonder Award, given for his outstanding career achievements in song writing.

The country star gloriously tops The Billboard 200 with his latest set, "The Road and the Radio," sold more than 469,000 copies for the week ended Sunday November 13th. This is the second time in 2005 that Chesney tops the chart, while also becoming his fourth straight number-one debut.
Opens at No. 2 on the chart is the soundtrack for rapper 50 Cent's new movie, entitled "Get Rich or Die Tryin"' sold nearly 317,000 copies. Comes behind at No. 3 is "Now That's What I Call Music! 20" by various artists with sales of 221,000. In the meantime, Neil Diamond's "12 Songs" debuts at No. 4 with sales of 93,000 copies, ahead of Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" at 5th with 92,000 copies.

The girls had on Tuesday sang their final song as a group on ABC's late night "Jimmy Kimmel Live." To mark their final performance in front of public, the group opened the show with their new single "Stand Up for Love" and closed with the Grammy-winning "Survivor."

The set is reported to sell for 378,000 copies in the week ended November 6. Right behind the chart topping is Santana's "All That I Am" which becoming the second best album of the week with sales of 142,000 copies.
At No. 3 is Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" which sold for 101,000 copies, ahead of Black Eyed Peas' "Monkey Business" at No. 4 with 86,000 and Destiny's Child's "#1's" at 5th with 85,000. Meanwhile, Blink-182's swan song "Greatest Hits" comes at No. 6 with 72,000 copies, followed behind by Martina McBride's "Timeless" at 7th which is sold for 63,000 copies.

It is a greatest hits package titled "#1's" that will mark their leaving music industry. The album due in stores October 25.
In companion to their numerous number one hits, the girls will also be releasing three brand new tracks, namely "Stand Up For Love," "Feel the Same Way I Do," and that of "Check on It," which also is becoming the soundtrack for the upcoming "The Pink Panther" in which Knowles co-stars.
The Childs Win Lady of Soul Award

The Childs didn't attend the ceremony, hosted by R&B star Toni Braxton, Ciara, and singer Brian McKnight, but Eva Pigford, presenter and "America's Next Top Model" winner, accepted the award on the group's behalf.
Getting the award, Destiny's Child beat off such heavyweight nominees, as Nina Sky, The Pussycat Dolls and Xscape. Girl trio Destiny's Child has been honored the award for World's Best Pop Group at the 2005 World Music Awards, held Wednesday night where they helped open the show. With the honor in hand, the 'Childs' beat Gorillaz, Maroon 5, Il Divo and the Black Eyed Peas, all of whom are nominated for the same category. As said by Kelly Rowland, she and the two other personnel, Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams, have had a planned DVD and will soon release it. "We've got a DVD planned -- it was actually (recorded July 15) at our great Atlanta show, and we're going to do a greatest hits album. The music group first signaled their intentions on Saturday from the stage of a concert in Barcelona, Spain, when group member Kelly Rowland said their current "Destiny Fulfilled...And Lovin' It" tour would be their last in Europe.
Further, Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams and Rowland herself, confirmed their going to split up with a statement saying that despite their split they will still love and respect one another. Besides, they also thanked fans for their support and loyalty. Destiny's label, Sony Urban/Columbia Records, outed a formal announcement saying the three of them "would be retiring as Destiny's Child and moving forward to pursue personal goals and individual careers in music, theater, television and film."

Evan's First Lady has been sold of more than 157,000 during its first week of release, just 7,000 copies less than 50 Cent's The Massacre which scored sales more than 165,000, securing the rapper first-place position for the sixth time. The winner on the third place is Beck's Guero, who was on the second last week. After Beck is the 18th edition of the popular Now That's What I Call Music! franchise, featuring contributions from the likes of U2, Chingy, Nelly, Hoobastank and Destiny's Child.
At number five is R&B quartet 112's Pleasure & Pain, coming behind is rapper Will Smith's Lost and Found. At #7 on the chart are pop-punk patriarchs Green Day, with American Idiot recording just under 59,000 scans. In the 8th place is rapper Beanie Sigel's The B.Coming. Finishing at #9 is rock-and-roll princess Lisa Marie Presley with Now What and on the 10th position is Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams, which recorded sixth-week sales of close to 55,000.
