"Argo" cemented its status as a strong contender for winner of this year's Oscar Best Picture by taking the top prize at Producers Guild Awards. Ben Affleck, who serves as the director, the leading actor and the producer, was honored with the Darryl F. Zanuck outstanding producer of motion picture along with his co-producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov.

The "Daredevil" actor came to the event with his wife Jennifer Garner, who looked stunning in an Oscar de la Renta dress with Brian Atwood shoes, Cartier jewels, and a Roger Vivier bag. "I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I'm still working as an actor," he jokingly said in his acceptance speech. She also took the stage to present J.J. Abrams with a lifetime achievement award.

The winner list at this year's Sundance Film festival is dominated by "Fruitvale" and "Blood Brother". The two movies claim double victory each at the event hosted by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Other winners include actresses Shailene Woodley and Lake Bell.

"Fruitvale", a movie based on a true story of 22-year-old Oscar Grant who was gun down by police in Oakland, California, on New Year's Day of 2009, is picked as a winner of Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award for U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic. It's praised for its "moral and social urgency."

Stevie Wonder is tapped to help kick off Super Bowl weekend with a live concert in New Orleans. The iconic singer will headline the gig taking place in an outdoor venue near the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel on February 2, the day before the game takes place at the Superdome.
