NBC could start a new story of Cleopatra. After a reported competitive bid with another network, the Peacock has landed a period drama titled "Cleopatra" from one of the men behind "Transformers" film series, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, with a put pilot commitment.

The new project is said to be "an epic romance set in a world of sorcery, gods and monsters that centers on Cleopatra, Mark Antony and Julius Caesar." According to Deadline, the story follows the titular queen as she "makes a sacred pact with a goddess to win back her throne, igniting a curse and an infamous love triangle that changes the course of history, forever ending the 4,000 year dominion of the Pharaoh."

Mika has released a music video in support of "Celebrate", the lead single off his upcoming album "The Origin of Love". It opens with the British singer-songwriter sitting in front of a piano, seemingly trying to compose new music, but having trouble in writing the lyrics. After a pile of torn papers, he forgets his frustration and dances among other people in a club.

The clip was directed by BB-Gun and shot in New York. For the song itself, Mika enlists the help of Pharrell Williams who lends his vocals in addition to writing it. "Written by me, Pharrell and Fryars and produced by [Empire of the Sun's] Nick [Littlemore], this kind of collaboration is only possible when everyone throws themselves into it wanting to have fun and without any ego," the "Blame It on the Girls" singer said of the track.

While the Olympics organizers have tried to keep details of the closing ceremony under wraps, reports of who will perform at the summer games' closer have swirled wildly on the Internet. Another Nickelodeon show is coming to an end. After canceling "iCarly" earlier this year, the network has just announced it pulls the plug on "Victorious". "Nickelodeon will not be moving forward with production on a fourth season of Victorious following the final season that will premiere this fall," the children's channel said in a statement.

The network added, "We are very proud of the show, its very talented cast, and our audience will continue to see many of them in upcoming new Nickelodeon projects." The third and last season premiered in January this year, but there are 15 new episodes left before the show takes its final bow.

A very-first look at Russell Crowe as the titular prophet in Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" has made its round onto the web. Furrowing his brows, the Oscar-winning actor is pictured sporting unkempt hair and a gray beard and rocking a shabby robe complete with a fingerless glove.

Taylor Swift is getting serious with boyfriend Conor Kennedy fast. A fan with keen eyes photographed the group and posted it on Twitter.

Swift has not confirmed her relationship with Kennedy, who is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy. They were first spotted together on a sailboat near the Kennedys' home in Hyannis Port, Mass. late last month.

Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson's father Joe was busted for Driving Under the Influence on Tuesday, August 7. According to TMZ's sources, the 54-year-old was arrested on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles at 10 P.M.

Upon pulling Joe over, the LAPD cops suspected that he was intoxicated. They took him in for custody with his hands handcuffed. Joe was booked and spent a night in jail. He was released the next day at 9:41 without bail.
