The Saturdays Fire Manager to Get 'New Perspective'

British girlgroup The Saturdays have fired their manager - because they want "a new perspective" on their future records, according to reports. The five-piece, comprising of Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White, rose to fame in 2007 and have had two top 10 albums in the U.K. chart.

But the group, which has previously supported Jonas Brothers and Girls Aloud on tour, has now parted ways with Jayne Collins, who has worked with them since they formed. A source tells Britain's The Sun, "They bear no ill will but thought a new perspective might help them this time round."

Martin Scorsese Thinks Rupert Grint Is the Next Leonardo DiCaprio

Martin Scorsese wants "Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint to play a gangster in one of his movies, insisting he has the potential to be as successful as Leonardo DiCaprio. The 21-year-old actor, who has played Ron Weasley in all of the wizard films, recently wrapped up shooting the last installment of the franchise.

He has already started to shake off the longrunning character by appearing in small independent films including "Driving Lessons" and "Cherrybomb". Scorsese has advised Grint to take on a variety of villainous characters to show fans he won't be typecast, in the same way that DiCaprio - who has starred in several of the director's movies - managed to turn his back on playing romantic roles at the start of his career.

First Few Clips From 'Predators' Unleashed

20th Century Fox is generously sharing the scenes from "Predators" as they have outed four clips at the same time. Making their ways out via different sites, the videos give preview to the moment when the human characters land on an alien planet, meet each other for the first time as well as the action sequence when they are hunted by the predators.

Serving as a reboot of the sci-fi franchise, this Nimrod Antal-directed movie follows Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they've been brought together on an alien planet as prey. Adrien Brody takes the lead role with Alice Braga, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo and Laurence Fishburne playing those who try to survive on the alien planet.

'Eclipse' Producer Hopes Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart 'Stay Together'

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have refused to address the nature of their relationship numerous time, but producer of their movie "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse", Wyck Godfrey, hopes the rumored lovers will never break up. Talking to Time magazine, Godfrey said, "The thing I do think about is, Oh my God, I hope they stay together," when asked if Pattinson and Stewart's romance was good for business.

Godfrey further reasoned, "Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It's like, Wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God, I hope they stay together; please stay together. That's what affects my day-to-day." Godfrey continued, "I honestly don't think of it in terms of business. It doesn't affect our core business at all."

Rockers Guided by Voices Reunite for Label

The most famous line-up of cult indie rockers Guided by Voices is to reunite to celebrate Matador Records' 21st anniversary. The Ohio group, fronted by Robert Pollard, will perform at the label's Las Vegas bash in October, before embarking on a U.S. tour.

Pollard, who formed the group in 1983, will reteam with Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Greg Demos and Kevin Fennell for the shows. Matador artists Pavement, Sonic Youth, Belle & Sebastian, Spoon, Cat Power and The New Pornographers, among others, will join the weekend-long party, which will take place at the Palms Casino & Resort, according to Billboard.com.

Report mentioning that Ciara's "Ride" music video is snubbed by BET has swirled since May, but it seemed that the network didn't bother to clear up the matter until MTV questioned it. In a written statement to MTV, BET publicist Marcy Polanco said, "BET never banned Ciara's video."

However, the representative admitted that they found some parts in the clip indeed need to be censored before going on air. "It went through the normal process where we gave edits and we never received a response," the publicist said further.

Former "Police Academy" star Bobcat Goldthwait is turning The Kinks' "The Kinks Present Schoolboys in Disgrace" album into a new movie. The madcap star, who directed Robin Williams' dark comedy "Dad of the Year", has written a script inspired by the British band's 1976 album, which he lists among his favorites.

The Kinks' Ray Davies will executive produce the film project. No cast details have been released, but the stars will have to be able to sing - they'll re-record the album songs for the soundtrack.

Ringo Starr is set for a very special honor to mark his upcoming 70th birthday - the gold-plated drum he bashed on The Beatles' 1964 U.S. tour is to become a museum item in New York. The Metropolitan Museum of Art will display the snare drum as part of a special exhibition honoring his big birthday on July 7.

The instrument, which was presented to Starr by the Ludwig Drum Company in Chicago, Illinois, will be on view to museum visitors from the rocker's birthday to the end of the year.

When Metric was asked to write a theme song for the Robert Pattinson-starring flick, they knew nothing about the book and the big screen adaptation. But, Howard Shore considered their lack of knowledge about the vampire saga was a good thing because he wanted the anthem to be penned "from the perspective of the character."

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has been targeted in a copyright infringement lawsuit by an American folk singer, who alleges the band's hit single "Dazed and Confused" was illegally sampled from his earlier version.

In a Federal lawsuit obtained by TMZ.com, folk singer Jake Holmes claims he obtained a copyright for "Dazed and Confused" in 1967 - two years before Led Zeppelin recorded their version of the song. But, due to the statute of limitations, Holmes is only able to sue for damages from the last three years. Holmes wrote and recorded "Dazed and Confused" for his debut solo album "The Above Ground Sound", which was released in 1967.

Scorpions Cancel Detroit Show Due to Klaus Meine's Illness

German rockers the Scorpions' farewell tour has been hit by illness - singer Klaus Meine is suffering a chest cold and has been told he can't perform until Thursday, July 1. The diagnosis has prompted the "Rock You Like a Hurricane" hitmakers to cancel a performance in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, June 30.

Meine is expected to be ready to take to the stage again on Thursday in Detroit, Michigan. A statement from the band reads, "It is with a heavy heart that we have to disappoint our longtime, devoted fans in Columbus, Ohio by not being able to perform there. Klaus' doctors have told him in no uncertain terms that he needs the proper rest so he can shake the bug and successfully continue the tour."

Former KISS Member Vinnie Vincent Loses Bankruptcy Appeal

Former KISS star Vinnie Vincent has lost an appeal that could have helped him stave off bankruptcy following a court battle with his ex-bandmates. The guitarist, real name Vincent John Cusano, was barred from seeking bankruptcy protection from paying more than $81,000 (54,000 pound sterling) to Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons after unsuccessfully suing them for royalties in 1997.

In court, he alleged Simmons and Stanley owed him royalties for his work on 1983 album "Lick It Up", but a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled against him and awarded the defendants fees and costs amounting to $81,000. Vincent took the case to an appeals court, but lost, according to Courthouse News Service.

Prince to Give Away New Album for Free in Europe

Pop star Prince will be giving away his new album "20Ten" with newspapers in Europe. 'Scream 4' Will Feature Two Different Masks

It seems that "Scream 4" will not only see new faces but also new mask. Fan site Scream-Trilogy has found tweets from RJ Torbert of Funworld, the manufacturer of the Ghostface halloween mask featured in "Scream" trilogy, who revealed that two different masks will be used in the upcoming film.

"I expect there to be 2 diff masks, however I will say this, things changing very often - difficult to say without giving it away," so RJ wrote on his Twitter as quoted by Scream-Trilogy, before adding "Sent out additional GHOSTFACE to the SET today, a very interesting opening scene." Giving another info, RJ wrote, "Lets just say, the town of Woodsboro, has an obsession. There is your hint."

'Charlie's Angels' Theme Song Composer Passed Away

The TV composer behind the "Charlie's Angels" theme song has died, aged 85. Allyn Ferguson passed away at his home in Westlake Village, near Los Angeles, on June 23, his daughter Jill Ferguson has confirmed.

The songwriter rose to fame in the 1970s and '80s, composing tunes for a variety of TV shows. But he will perhaps be best remembered for coming up with the scores for "Charlie's Angels" and "Barney Miller", tracks he composed with collaborator Jack Elliott.

Plans to erect a Michael Jackson statue in the Czech Republic have been met with criticism by locals, who argue the late King of Pop had no real connection to the country. City officials in Prague have approved a request by a group of Jackson fans to place a six foot (1.83 metre) tall tribute to the "Thriller" hitmaker in Letna Park, where the singer performed in 1996.

The column, featuring a bronze bust of the superstar, was due to be unveiled on what would have been Jackson's 52nd birthday on August 29. But thousands of Czech residents are angry at the prospect of having a statue of the singer in Prague and local art gallery bosses have proposed installing a piece of work by a contemporary Czech artist instead.

Irish rocker Bono is cashing in on the popularity of social networking website Facebook.com - the U2 frontman has nearly doubled his investment in the company. Bono and bosses at his private-equity business Elevation Partners have ploughed another $120 million into the privately-held site, bringing their total investment in Facebook to $210 million.

According to a letter to investors published by the TechCrunch blog, Elevation bosses were able to buy shares from insiders on the secondary market. The deal could be the start of an investment turnaround for the rocker, whose blunder backing troubled cellphone maker Palm Inc. won him the dishonor of being named Worst Investor in America by financial journal 24/7 Wall Street earlier this year.

Bruckheimer admits movie executives have "kicked around some ideas" but they are still a long way from giving the project the green light. He tells MTV.com, "We were recently approached again to start talking about it but, you know, nothing yet. We kicked around some ideas because the aviation community has completely changed since we made the movie a long time ago. So we have to find a way in and how to incorporate the Maverick character into it."
