Oldman Is In Talks for Black Role

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix picture
Updating the previous news concerning the speculation of Gary Oldman's absence in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", the actor has been reported to be in negotiations to reprise his role as Sirius Black. Rumors about this case have spread when the principal photography on the movie has been commenced on February 6 at the U.K.'s Leavesden Studios without Oldman's presence as he at that time had not yet begun his negotiations with Warner Bros. "We're not shooting his part for quite a while, and as is always the case, you begin with the parts that are most pressing," said producer David Heyman. "We have every intention of having Gary Oldman play Sirius Black."

"Friday the 13th" Remake To Be Made

The masked killer Jason Voorhees is on his way to come back as Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes are eyeing for a remake of "Friday the 13th" through collaboration with screenwriter Mark Wheaton and New Line Cinema. New Line itself previously has released the most recent installment featuring Voorhees entitled "Freddy vs. Jason" in 2003, putting him and Freddy Krueger from the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series to slash against each other.

As for the release date, the insiders of the project informed that the producers have put high hopes to launch the movie exactly on Friday, October 13 this year, but the expectation seems pretty hard to meet since no director and cast are attached yet.

"Noise" Bills Fillion To Be the Lead

"White Noise 2: The Light" finally has found the perfect actor to play its main character in Nathan Fillion. The "Serenity" star will portray a man who is murdered, but unexpectedly is brought back to life to later realize that he has the ability to identify those among the living who are about to die. So far, Fillion has been the only one in the cast whose role is fixed for his fellow thespian, Katee Sackhoff, is still in negotiations to join him as a nurse who befriends his character after the death of his wife.

Kidman as the Narrator in Wiesenthal Docu

This time taking position behind the screen, actress Nicole Kidman will contribute her voice to narrate a feature-length documentary about the life of the late Simon Wiesenthal who was known as one of the Holocaust survivors. Produced by Simon Wiesenthal Center's documentary films division for this year's release date, the temporarily untitled project will feature a series of interviews with Wiesenthal's longtime associates, friends and family members also government leaders around the world.

"I want to be a midwife, " the young singer said. "It must be the nicest job. I don't want to be a singer all my life. Everyone thinks, 'Oh my God, they're having so much fun', but let's be real. These people had to get ready for four hours, they're in high heels that hurt, talking to people they don't know, having pictures taken every five minutes. That's not a party."

Slater Struggles to Get Joint Custody

The divorce settlement between Christian Slater and his ex-wife, Ryan Haddon, turns out to be not yet finished as the 36-year-old actor has been reported to fight for join custody of his children, Jaden and Eliana. In the refiled divorce documents placed on Friday, February 10 in Superior Court, he also reveals an intention to divide property under a written agreement between himself and Haddon.

Slater first filed divorce papers in February last year after five years togetherness, stating that he and Haddon had separated on January 5, 2005. However, the separation date later was changed to January 1, 2004 in the new papers.

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty claims that he and Kate Moss are still together, insisting their relationship isn't over. He furthermore claims to still keep in touch with the supermodel since his being jailed waiting a hearing on drug possession charges.

As reported in BreakingNews Doherty quoted as saying "She was in a bit of a state and needed to know I was OK. She managed to get a message to me saying how much she loves and cares for me. It really lifted my spirits while I was inside. When I was inside she was all I could think about."

The Hollywood Reporter comes to the surface with report mentions that comedian Bernie Mac is in final talks to join Terrence Howard in "P.D.R." or Philadelphia Department of Recreation.

Of drama genre, the film tells the real-life story of Jim Ellis, who in the 1970s started a black swim team in one of the city's roughest neighborhoods. Ellis recruited troubled teens, many who had never swum before, and managed to lead them to the state championships.

Per LiveDaily.com, Duran Duran is slated for a February 15 performance, while Houston is set for February 19, Avril Lavigne will perform on the 21st, and Kelly Clarkson to entertain on Feb 12th. The Games will be held in Torino, Italy with the shows to take place at the Olympic Village's Medals Plaza after each night's awards ceremony.

Britney Spears is creating sensation after another as she's been tapped to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans later this month as the devastated city continues to revive and revert to its old, partying ways. Thus, she will join ABC's "Good Morning America" on Feb. 28 when the morning show broadcasts live from the Big Easy.

Speaking on her getting involved in the festivities Spears said "I am honored to be a part of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans this year. It is so important for this amazing city to continue its annual traditions and I am really looking forward to being involved." The Mardi Gras parade season lasts from Feb. 18-28. Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras Day, is Feb. 28.

Newlywed Scott Stapp Arrested at L.A. Airport

Former Creed frontman, Scott Stapp, was arrested Saturday Feb 11th, 2006 at Los Angeles International Airport for being intoxicated. Explaining on the incident, an Airport Police representative confirmed Stapp was taken into custody for being under the influence, but was unable to elaborate on the charges.

A blood-alcohol test at the station, furthermore showed the singer registered a 0.18, which is twice the legal limit. Was booked and released on $250 bail a few hours later, Stapp was ordered to return to Los Angeles for an arraignment hearing March 8.
