The Super "Ringo Starr" Hero

Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has joined forces with comic book creator Stan Lee to create a new cartoon series portrays Starr as an evil-battling, unwilling Earth-saving superhero with a great sense of rhythm. On top of that, both of them have also planned to create the superhero project for television and DVD.

Has been so long waiting for such chance, Starr admits to be very excited to become a reluctant superhero and that he really enjoys to work alongside the famous Lee.

Piazza Marries Former Playboy Playmate

Mike Piazza (36) has married his Playboy Playmate and Baywatch star girlfriend, Alicia Rickter (32) in a candlelight ceremony held at St. Jude's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 29, 2005. Presented as Piazza bestman in the small ceremony joined by about 120 people was his brother, Tony.

Attending in that ceremonial event were some baseball superstars, like Al Leiter and Ivan Rodriguez. Besides, there were also Angelica Bridges as the maid of honour, one of Rickter co-star in Baywatch series, the Playboy Playmates Brande Roderick and Lisa Dergan all of whom joined as the bridesmaids who at that time was wearing a white satin Vera Wang designed gown.

Rodman Sued for Illegaly Using Copyrighted Music

Has been sued for illegaly using a copyrighted music at his California resturant, Rodman agreed to pay some licensing fees and signed a new agreement with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers as his publicist Shannon Barr told to Los Angeles Times for Saturday's editions.

However, Rodman himself said that he doesn't agree with ASCAP's rule requires that commercial establishments must pay fees for the use of any of its eight million copyrighted songs and compositions performed live, played on jukeboxes or piped in from radio stations. Yet, Rodman could do nothing about that, except obey the rule and prevent the same mistake to be happened again. That's what he said he in an e-mail to the Times.

Desperate Housewives serial writer and producer, Marc Cherry offers the talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey, a role to play in that success TV series.

Has been absent for so long since her unsuccesful 1998 film Beloved, Oprah's acting in Desperate Housewives TV series has made her realized that she hasn't done yet with acting and that she's thinking to do something else soon. It seems that Oprah enjoys so much to play at the Desperate Housewives series.

Oprah Winfrey is Retiring

The talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey has reportedly planned to retire from her popular show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, as soon as her contract is over.

This rumor has been strengthen by The New York Post report in which Oprah told TV executives at a Las Vegas party that she's going to end the show at the time her contract expires in 2011. Yet, there haven't any furher explanation on her reason of retirement which will keep us asking why???

Eastwood Wins the DGA Award

Clint Eastwood wins the Directors Guild of America honor for the boxing saga Million Dollar Baby, in which he plays as boxing trainer and reluctant mentor to Hillary Swank the scrappy fighter who becomes a champion in the ring before her life takes a tragic turn. This victory will then asure Eastwood's prospects to win his second best-director prize at the Academy Awards held on February 27, 2005.

Winning this award has also brought Eastwood up to his fellow nominee Martin Scorsese who lost all his sixth guild nomination for best director for the Howard Hughes epic The Aviator. Gaining such triumph, Eastwood gives his appreciation to both co-stars Swank and Freeman whose presence in the Million Dollar Baby has made his job as director a delight.
