Other headliners also performed their latest singles. Kelly Clarkson entertained concertgoers with "Already Gone", and Jordin Sparks invited audience to dance with "S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)". As for Jennifer Hudson and Adele, both of them brought the first singles from their debut albums. Jennifer came out with "Spotlight", and Adele took the stage with "Hometown Glory".

In a recent interview with celebrity television show "Extra", she said wedding is in pre-planning stages for her and Tammy.
"We're trying to find the right time now actually to go down and do it -- is where we're at," Etheridge told "Extra" lifechanger and surgical breast specialist Dr. Kristi Funk during a chit chat about breast cancer which she's been diagnosed with four years ago. Etheridge and Tammy have been together for years and they are among the most high-profile celebrities to live openly as lesbians.

'The Awakening' will be released on Tuesday, September 25. Its first single 'Message to Myself' has taken impact in August with Etheridge's wife Tammy Lynn Michaels giving a cameo in the music video.

'Message to Myself' is a lead single from the rock singer's ninth album 'The Awakening', due September 25 via Island. The album follows in the vein of her 2004 release, 'Lucky' that peaked at #15 in Billboard's 200.

After gloomy years following her breast cancer treatment, Melissa Etheridge sheds the dark cloud with winning, honorary, and new record.
Her first in three years, Melissa predicts that the record will be out somewhere between October and December this year. Recently winning an Oscar, has given Melissa the gasoline needed to gear up her tenth studio album. "I was recording my new album in between rehearsing for the Oscars. So I would record for seven hours, go and rehearse for the Oscars, and then come back and record," she said. "There are very personal things on the album, including one of the greatest love songs I have ever written. These songs are 100 per cent truthful about me and how I am feeling."

The nominees have been unveiled early before, and now its time to announce the musical performers for the forthcoming 79th Academy Awards show. Telecast producer Laura Ziskin has announced the names booked to perform during the awards show.
Among the many names mentioned, there are the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Anika Noni Rose, and Keith Robinson. As of Beyonce, the R&B goddess is set to perform "Listen", one of the three Original Song nominees from the musical "Dreamgirls."
