Adam will join Melissa for a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of her breakthrough 1993 album 'Yes I Am'.

AceShowbiz - Gay icons Melissa Etheridge and Adam Lambert will rock out together at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York next week, May 5. The stars have signed up for a duet performance at the gala, according to GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.

"This is sure to be a one-of-kind performance to remember," she says in a statement.

Adam will join Melissa for a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of her breakthrough 1993 album "Yes I Am".

The two singers, who have never dueted with each other before, will perform her classic song "I'm the Only One" to open the awards gala, where director Ava DuVernay, actress Samira Wiley, and Jay-Z's mother Gloria Carter will be honoured with awards for promoting gay rights.
