Focusing mainly on Mickey Rourke and his villainous character, Whiplash, the two minutes plus footage from the set of the highly anticipated "Iron Man" sequel features commentary from director Jon Favreau and fellow cast members, Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
"Once we thought of him, we started developing the costume and the design of the character around him," Favreau told ET's Thea Andrews on the casting of Rourke. "His career got very busy as he was doing all the award season stuff and it took some time to make everything work out, but he was enthusiastic from our first meeting. And, I was so glad that it worked out. Now he's a very formidable adversary to Robert Downey Jr."

Three in total, the new pictures center on Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle's Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes and director Jon Favreau.
One of the images shows what is said to be the after-effect of Whiplash's attack when Tony Stark participates in a race as a pissed off Stark is seen squatting amidst wreckage on the race track. Another one displays Potts, who has been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries, lounging on her chair. The last one captures Favreau having a discussion with Downey Jr. and Cheadle on the film's set.

Slash Film has got its hands on the mag's scanned photos that expose Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as Rhodey Rhodes and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer.
One of the images captures Paltrow's Potts talking to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in what appears to be a court room. Another one sees Cheadle, who replaced Terrence Howard as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, at some kind of court hearing with Rockwell's fast-talking weapons manufacturer character in the background. The film is set in New York, but will begin filming on November 7 in London's Ealing Studios. Set to star in is Gwyneth Paltrow and Simon Pegg, who both will play supporting roles, and Martin Freeman who'll play a former pop star now reduced to writing advertising jingles amid an early midlife crisis.

August 12, 2005 11:08:05Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, well known for her acting in "Se7en" (1995), is reportedly will team up with superstars Meryl Streep and Annette Bening to star in a new movie about the Watergate scandal that toppled ex-US president Richard Nixon. Will write and direct the film, which will be produced for Hollywood's Paramount Pictures by movie icon Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner of Plan B Productions, is Ryan Murphy.
Paltrow is set to portray Maureen Dean, the wife of White House counsel John Dean, who stood firmly by her husband when he was dragged into the fray. As for Streep, she will play Martha Mitchell, the whistle-blowing wife of former US attorney general John Mitchell, in a celluloid version of John Jeter's play "Dirty Tricks." Meanwhile, Bening will play Thomas, who worked for United Press International, and actress Jill Clayburgh will play the president's wife, Pat Nixon, who grew to loathe Mitchell for destabilizing the presidency.

The movie, written and directed by Alek Keshishian, focuses its story around a group of friends in London who discover that love sometimes doesn't always like that being told in the movies. Joining them among others Brittany Murphy, Matthew Rhys, Catherine Tate, Santiago Cabrera, Dawn French, and Stephanie Beacham.
In related news, Paltrow will also join Cameron Diaz and Keira Knightley at the Toronto International Film Festival, during which her drama "Proof," Diaz's sister tale "In Her Shoes" and Knightley's new take on "Pride and Prejudice" will all be played. The festival is scheduled to run on September 8-17.

The Hollywood star is scheduled to front an international print and TV advertising campaign for the 10-year anniversary of Estee Lauder Pleasures fragrance. Gwyneth has reportedly signed a multiyear contract as the face of the cosmetics giant, for which she will begin appearing in time for the holiday season.
The company, confirmed the use of Gwyneth image on Monday, also mentioned the actress next appearence in other Estee Lauder fragrance and makeup ads. Commenting on Gwyneth becoming their model, Aerin Lauder, the company's senior vice president of global creative directions said "Gwyneth personifies the image of our brand. She is aspirational and stylish while being grounded, family-oriented and approachable."
